Why is a Border Wall RACIST?

I don't have a strong opinion, for or against a wall along the Mexican Border. In some ways, yes I think it's good, keeping illegal aliens out. In other ways I wonder if it's worth the cost or how long it would take? They've been working on the PA Turnpike for 30 years and it never seems "finished". HOW MUCH will it co$T? Is the cost worth what will be saved from keeping out X number of illegals? Cost Benefit Analysis if you will.

My question is deeper, why is it "racist"? First, the purpose is to "KEEP OUT ILLEGAL ALIENS", meaning stop people from BREAKING THE LAW. It seems like it is meant to prevent people from doing things that we've written laws to prevent, so I just want some explanation on why is it "racist"?

 

I don't think the wall has been called racist - I think some of the rhetoric being used for justifying the wall has been called racist.

 

Because it wouldn't stir up any liberal voting base if they just said they want full open borders and a one world government.

 

I would argue that the wall itself is a manifestation of racism, it is the solution to a problem that exists within the minds of racists. There is no other explanation for the wailing and gnashing of teeth from white Murica in regards to Latinos. The idea that this is motivated by economics is absurd. I agree that our immigration system is a mess but this is not the solution. There is a bill sitting in the House that makes a great start at fixing it. Vote on the comprehensive bill and lets get on with other more important matters.

 

Do you think if Canada was poor and Mexico was rich, and Mexicans where staying put, and Canadians where coming across the northern border the right wingers you see as racists would be OK with accepting illegal Canadians because they aren't Hispanics? just curious.

Exactly. Open borders is being pushed by wealthy elites who do not care about the American people.

 

The key difference is the threat to the culture and demographics that Latinos pose for white Muricans of a certain stripe. Canadians are very similar to Americans and would not be seen as a threat to white Murica. White Murica though sees brown people eating tacos and they throw a coniption fit much like they did for the Italians, Jews, Poles, Spaniards, Chinese, irish, Puerto Ricans, Hmong, Vietnamese etc. etc. etc. There is nothing new going on here, we have seen this reaction before and it is always the same people wailing the same siren song...

But us Greeks, 3-4-5 generations in still, speak Greek, eat Greek and wave the Greek flag, etc. So what the Mexicans do doesn't bother me, I do it too, and I was born in the USA. the Italians (Wops) have the Sons of Italy and the Pollocks have the Polish Falcons. I agree, we need to bring the troops stationed around the world home so they can watch the border. A wall wont keep anyone out, hell, the split between the Koreas have a mile wide land mine field and people still sneak by.

 

I have not heard the proposal being called racist....Mostly Impossible, pointless, useless, or never going to happen.

Cost wise....I'm guessing somewhere between 50 and 500 Billion, and annual maintenance and personal around another hundred million.

Is this an example of your critical thinking skills? The WALL has only one purpose, to keep Mexicans and Central Americans (most white Muricans cannot tell the difference) out. It will do nothing for Europeans who over stay their visas, nothing for Canadians, Chinese, Indians, Brazilians, it won't even keep those pesky Russians out. Nope, it is only for our brown skinned neighbors who clean our toilets, mow our lawns, wash our dishes, slaughter our meat, pick our strawberries, weed our gardens, cook our food, build our fences and all the other menial jobs immigrants have done for us for a couple hundred years. Then, they increase our misery by having sex and dropping kids who become Americans on the spot. For these crimes against white Murica, Trump wants to round them up like cholera sufferers, destroy their families, decimate our agriculture industries and purify our whiteness for future little Trumpeters to find some other group to villify. But don't worry, after the de-mexicanization scheme is completed, white Muricans will still have those horrible black people to hate. It's all just one big white party baby....

Walls and fences do keep people out, which is why the Vatican and Israel have them

An electric fence with armed drones would keep the undesirables out very cheaply

And it shuts down these rape routes. The Huffington Post reports that 85% of the Central Ameican woman that transist these smuggling routes are raped in the process. That's every damn one of them, but the very old women and the very young girls. How "Progressives" can demand that these rape routes remain open, well. Ask them how they justify that.

It should go up pretty quick and just the construction activities will put a kink into the continuance of these Rape Corridors. As for cost, Mexico will pay for it.

Depends on whether or not they suspend all the crap gets in the way of the Federal Government building and completing anything. They could fast track this and get it up and running very quickly.

It's not. Those that favor the continued function of the Rape Routes can't argue that, so they call those that disagree with them names, and this charge is one that leaps easily off their lips.
