Oh the appeal to professionalism fallacy..,

Just because someone managed to get elected does not mean that their life is any more important than my life or my friends and loved ones lives.

I would think it should make someone angry that politicians declare that their life is important enough to use the best possible tool for protection but that us little peons shouldn't be afforded that same protection as our life isn't as important as theirs.

And it's completely legal and all but a handful of the most restricted liberal states for anyone to have an antique gun or a replica thereof.

These are the people who started the whole "barista" thing to make pouring coffee sound professional.

I used to work downstairs in the pit at the oil change place and instead of just being the pit guy who pulls the plug and changes the filter and looks for any leaks..... I liked to think of myself as an automotive fluids maintenance technician specialist !

Dig you a hole outdoors somewhere and line it with cinder blocks.

She'd attack me with a Byrna for that too. It's jack stands and cold concrete for this guy.

I can't take it any more.

Someone needs to point out that clearly a democrat taught that woman how to hold a gun.

    Advantages of Byrnas:
    1) They fire projectiles which release pepper spray and tear gas on impact. So an attacker can be incapacitated but not killed.
    2) They are accurate at a distance so you don't have to endanger yourself by getting close to the target.
    3) The legal risk of using a Byrna for self-defense is much less. If you mistake the paper boy for an intruder and shoot him you're not going to be charged with homicide. If you kill someone with a real gun you could end up in prison even if it was a case of self defense. In some jurisdictions there is a duty to retreat and use of lethal force is only legal as a last resort.

Sean Hannity is a big fan of Byrnas and even advocates that the police use them. A lot of situations could be handled without deadly force.

If you're stupid enough to shoot The paperboy or anyone without ascertaining their identity or at least their purpose..... You shouldn't be around a real gun and if you're really that careless you don't even need to have one of these CO2 pepper ball guns

Are you interested in some real life testing?

I'm sure the Baltimore PD could set that up for you.

How good do you think they work when the other guy has a real one that's shooting lead?

Just imagine how trigger happy people would get because they think well I can shoot someone and it won't kill them...

About the only thing I would really trust this for is if I was out on a bicycle ride and I was concerned with loose and possibly vicious dogs.

The problem in real life is that other people might have a real gun and then you're up the proverbial River of fecal matter with no paddle.

And even if they have a knife if someone is coming at me and tending to hurt me very badly or possibly kill me, I would much rather depend on a 145 grain lead ball traveling at a thousand feet per second then I would with a pepper ball going about 400 ft a second.

It's a pretty neat toy but not anything I would want to stake my life on. Better than a poke in the eye with a stick but that's about it.

They are also ridiculously expensive for what they are, cost you more than an actual gun

Remember that when seconds count the police are only mere minutes away and it's much easier to tuck a gun into your holster and carry that than it is to carry a police officer.

And let's not forget how many times that even just the display of a weapon stops a crime without a shot being necessary. And I bet you tons of those go unreported because who wants to call the cops on their self and put up with all of that hassle when you have already stopped the situation by yourself?

Of course if you had to do that you probably should call the police after the fact but I'm betting a lot of people don't bother doing it

your advertising effort is noted but it's not working with those of us who understand this issue. Do you have any clue how easy it is to defeat this self defense weapon?

Oh they are good idea for a barkeep dealing with a drunk muscle head who starts a fight, or for a shopkeeper dealing with several thuggins who believe they are entitled to steal a shopping cart worth of 100 dollar sneakers.

No one cares what Sean Hannity thinks. He's not a use of force expert ffs.
