Why do people in America act as if the president holds all the power in the country, when in fact, every action he takes is checked by another area of government? For example, the one opposition party in America may pass an unpopular law that causes unemployment, but since it happened under the term of a president from a different party, he is to blame.

Is it just me, or is watching American politics play out not so different from watching little toddlers scrap?
