Trump, afraid of having another Bad Hair Day, ducked the ceremony he came for.
Remember after the Philly shootings, he fielded questions under an umbrella at the airport, before boarding to go to a rally in the Midwest, where he was apologizing for his hair, but assuring people it was real because of it.

I guarantee you that Trump was utterly oblivious to this. For one, these were complete sentences.

If they have free speech in France I defend Macron's right to say it, naïve as it is.

Do you really want to see that mangled, creepy bald trench though. They showed once on the news where his 3 foot ear hair comb-over got blown and his bald spot is sooooo disgusting. He had surgery to try to pull the two bald sides together and it didn't work. So it looks like a trenched Frankenstein scar. I almost threw up in my mouth.

trump is so vile and gross. If I had a loved one who had died in the war actually serving their country, I wouldn't want that coward, racist creep anywhere near their grave.

I remember some low IQ individuals treating my references of patriotism from within the intelligence community as mere nationalistic evil rants. How low could their IQs get, I was wondering back then...
HopefulLee not so low... : /
Thanks Macron... You the man... And yes, we shouldn't refer these opportunists as populists because as you put populism has to do with people's choices. These mofos are trying to hijack a transformation that's supposed to be peaceful...

Good for Macron! I agree with him. Nationalism is an extreme form of patriotism, which elevates one's own country above all others to the degree that all others no longer matter. That's not only wrong, it's a form of insanity. Nationalism is the force that CAUSED the World War leaders were gathered together to remember. Nationalism also caused the World War that followed it less than two decades later. Nationalism is a dirty word, and a danger to all of us.

In WWII Germany were imperialists, not nationalists. And wwi was caused by treaties forcing countries to join a fight they otherwise would not have. It had nothing to do with nationalism.

Actually, the leaders who started World Wars 1 & 2 were both nationalists & imperialists. Yes, the treaties played a major role, but the intense nationalism at the time--combined with imperialism--was the direct cause.

The haircut issue only seems important to Leftists. Others feel policies are more important.

Nonetheless it's important that Leftists have these emotional outbursts occasionally rather than bottling them up and eventually becoming Antifacized.

In the 21st century nationalism stands opposite to globalism. Economic globalism, a scheme to create the greatest disparity in income and wealth that can be sustained, in favor of the top.

Far too often the modern left wants to confuse economic nationalism(putting your own citizens first, over the maximization of profits, via low wage globalism) Indeed they want to say nationalism is what came from the Nazis, which would mean that putting your own nation first, your own people first, to do that, is no different from being a war mongering, imperialistic, land grabbing nazi.

When we place our own family first, and take care of them first, over some other family, why is this not comparable to evil nationalism? Because nationalism, each nation looking out for the best interests of its own people is no different from me looking out for my own family first and foremost.

So, this is an intellectually dishonest argument used by those people who think each nation putting its own people first, economically, is the same as Nazi Germany and what they did. And therefore must be evil and unacceptable. And yet these same people will put their own family first, and look after them them first, before they look out for other people. It is a kind of hypocrisy, isn't it? Damn right it is.

Prove to us non trump voters, that trump is a racist. We need evidence that would stand up in a court of law. Clearly you modern liberals have not a clue as to what actual racism is. Just exclaiming it to be so is not enough, and certainly not a valid claim. Give me the evidence and I will join you guys. But until you can, all that I see are people who don't mind making claims of certainty, while lacking the evidence that would make someone believe such a claim. Remember, you guys are also the same crowd that claims anyone who wants immigration law enforced sufficiently, in order to stop illegal immigration, just has to be a racist! So, it gets to the point, that anything that comes from the mouths of that crowd is dismissed because of the absurd nature of those claims, that have no evidence to back it up. You know what people generally call such people, right? Space cadets is one of the nicer terms.

What message would that be? That Macron doesn't understand basic civics? I mean, I get it, and if you feel the need, do try to circulate that assessment as far and wide as you'd like. Macron is doing the mealy mouthed BS all globalists do. Patriotism and Nationalism are actually the same thing. There is no difference. Ask Macron why he insists on making his immigrants speak French...

What I really find super fun to watch are the liberals who all kneeled appropriately, chin napkins in place as they waited their dutiful turn to slob this story....

Macron is fun to watch though. It's hard to live in the closet. And Macron's closet Marxism is desperately trying to get out....

And Trump has against explained he is for nationalism rather than globalism. The French people, and people throughout the world, would likely agree. But, again, we might have to understand the leftists and their globalist ambitions. They want to run the world when they can't even run their own lives.

They should all clean their rooms.

Europeans are uniquely situated to lecture the world on the poisons of nationalism. The world should listen.

I am trying really really really hard to figure out why we should give a rat's ass what Macron says and I can't figure out one. It's not like France really has anything to offer us. Their cars even suck. Take Fiat for instance. Fiat? Really? They suck.
