Woke Batgirl is so bad, it won’t be released. 100 million down the toilet.

Adama. Read it again. characters in BSG weren’t represented separately on race, but by their 12 home planets. Nothing about the Adama line in BSG or Blood and Chrome showed him as anything but a white guy from Caprica who made admiral of the last battlestar from the first cylon war.

 

That's true! Kind of incredible, although the wokeness didn't really kick into high gear until season 4.

 

I really tried giving Batwoman a shot, I watched the entire first season, but it was so not enjoyable that I couldn't continue.

I liked Batwoman after Ruby Rose left. She was horrible. Yeah it was woke, but beyond that, I found it entertaining

Supergirl's final few seasons were not good. I did like Jon Cryer as Lex though

 

I liked it, my favourite aspect was the twisted dynamic between Kate, Alice and their father (and Luke and Mary were also interesting). Once that was gone why bother? Ryan was TERRIBLE!

 

I'll have to disagree with you on that, it died after she left (so easy to rectify, just give her plastic surgery) but Ryan was TERRIBLE! Yeah, wokeness almost ruined Supergirl but it managed to pull through (writing out Dean Cain was despicable). Cryer as Lex was a revelation, you forget all about Alan Harper.

 

I'm surprised they didn't send it down Netflix or Amazon Prime or somewhere. What do they have to lose? Every knows they are idiots.

 

The speculation is if the Studio releases the movie anywhere they cannot write off the $90 million lost for the tax year. TBH I am not 100% sure exactly how that works.

Some people have said that if they release it on HBO Max the studio execs did not think it would bring in a lot of new subscribers to justify the $90M spent. So it was better financially to write it off than show it. I guess if they sold it to another streaming service it may be different but maybe the contract Warner Bros has with DC does not allow that to happen.

 

Well to each his own I guess, but the show was so gay that Will & Grace looked straight by comparison. Almost every subplot was gay related. Kate Kane gets kicked out of military school after being caught in flagrante delicto with her girlfriend, comes back to Gotham years later after training herself up to Bat-standards, runs into her old girlfriend who’s now married to a guy, and proceeds to try to break up her marriage and get her back. She successfully breaks up her girlfriend’s marriage (but doesn’t get her back), starts a gay bar, romances several other girls, listens to Rachel Maddow… it’s just one rainbow flag after another.

 

Ironically they did resolve the Kate Kane storyline with a different actress using the plastic surgery storyline

 

Sure just like everyone else is doing. These woke versions tank bigtime.....because they suck.

 

Two words:

Get jobs.

Clearly not a gay life. Everyone knows all real superheroes are straight.

 

And if you think woke batgirl is bad, you should see her sleeping.

 

Not creepy lives, and she had a creepy life. If the show were about a a straight male superhero (I know, crazy right? But just pretend for a minute). This “Bat-Man” tracks down an old flame, tries to break up her marriage, and continually stalks her throughout the season, all the while developing a side business of a hook up bar and listening to Manosphere podcasts.

He would be a Bat-creep right? But it’s different when she does it…

So the problem was that she was a terrible person in her "life outside of heroing." The ratings reflected that and the show was mercifully cancelled.
