What exactly do you disagree with?

 

Find yourself thrown into a concentration camp by your own government - under any circumstances - because of your ethnic background alone - and then see how you feel about it. Have you and all your family, including grandparents and infants, set up in stinking horse stalls in the dessert, robbed of land and property because some ******* in Washington doesn't like how you look, and then talk about "the right thing to do."

 

Oh and by the way, no Japanese-Americans were ever convicted of espionage or sabotage throughout the war (which cannot be said of German and Italian Americans).

 

I believe (never actually researched this) that to qualify as WMD they mean people and not physical structures.

A nuclear blast can be called WMD even though it could be the small Davy Crockett. Merely because it is a nuclear blast.

The Davy Crockett was built to destroy Soviet Armor columns. Do we still have field grade nukes? Well if you ask the Feds, perhaps due to secrecy they say no. But when we had the Davy Crockett in service, even in the ranks of my own Army, most of the troops had no clue we had them with us. We kept them in barracks under tight security. but we had them. The Army did not tell this then to anybody. i knew because of the job i held at the time. They no longer are top secret.

i got the true story from Vernon Yoshioka (sadly died in 201 and he gave a different account. Camps were constructed for the Japanese. They were heavily guarded by armed Troops. i don't think any of them ever escaped. Their property was there when they got back home. Vernon told me the property had some damage but other than that they were able to start back in the Flower Business on their property. As a teen, i was at his property a lot of times. I trust him more than those speaking who were not there. They had a good number of green houses and he said most of the damage was broken window panes. Some of the Japanese did come home to property that had people there that had to be removed first.

Vernon was tied deeply into the Japanese community. He told me that is not factual. it was a lot less common than you believe. If the Japanese rented, that place was not his to keep or lose.

What happened to the Japanese is one of FDR war crimes. I do not ever excuse him for what he did.

 

Frankly I have never verified that. I actually believe it could happen even were somebody to say it never did. I think FDR was scum to lock them away.

 

Definitely concentration camps. I knew actual survivors. I had buddies who were locked up. i knew their parents and other relatives, all locked up. But even when I graduated high school here in CA in 1956, do you think our teachers taught us about this crime? Not on your life. They kept the secret.
