An MIT study shows that virus bearing micro droplets can travel nearly 30 feet (~10meters) and remain airborne and viable for spread for hours.

So, if you go into a public building (such as Walmart etc), there's a good chance that without a mask, you will be exposed to active coronavirus airborne particles, which could possibly result in you becoming infected with COVID-19

Also, I have no idea why they would tell people a good (N95) mask, properly fitted will not protect you from becoming infected. That's simply not true at all.
It's why hospital staff wear them, so they don't CATCH the virus, it's not primarily so that they don't spread it.

You are correct. Revisionist history is your strong suit, not mine. Mine is reality history.

That's absolute nonsense. If they didn't, medical personnel wouldn't bother to use them, or be worried about scarcity. It protects people in a partial limited way, as I said. And the question of the whole thread boils down to "is that enough, in your opinion?". I have expressed no definite opinion of my own either way.

Which you would have known if you had bothered to read the post.

Come back to us when you have.

Unless something new has come on the market, I can't imagine a 3d printer creating an adequate filter. However when I look online, all the 3d printed respirators are the reusable type with replaceable filters. I can't imagine them having a good fit as the material tends to be a bit rigid.

Regardless, it is a false statement to say a respirator does not protect the wearer. Just absolutely false.
There is a reason they refer to N95 masks as personal protection equipment. From time to time I have occasion to play with some really nasty toxic substances. Stuff that would cause me harm without protection. A respirator does just that, protect. It is why I keep them on hand. In the case of a chemical or biological attack, only a respirator mask will save you.

If you get the Covid19 virus it will enter through your mouth, nose or eyes. It can't get in if you are wearing eye protection and a respirator mask.

They do not. Aren't you one of those folks who always tells us we must respect scientific consensus??? LOL.. Well, the scientists are telling you that your assumption is false. The mask just doesn't do what you think it might, and telling folks that they can count on them to protect them from illness is simply wrong, because they don't...
