    Self defense where your life is threatened is one thing, stealing goods is another. I think that killing someone who's stealing clothes/food/other goods is morally reprehensible and depending in some cases, illegal.

    What if someone uses a firearm to steal money and items from a store?

    Is shooting that thief with your concealed firearm acceptable and legal then?

    The law says it is.
