Three middle school-aged boys are accused of raping a 19-year-old woman inside an apartment. According to Rock Hill Police, two 12-year-old twin brothers and a 13-year-old boy were arrested Sunday and charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct. It happened at the Arborwood Crossing Apartments off Patriot Parkway. The victim told NewsChannel 36 that she knew her attackers.

"I just can't believe they did this to me. I see these little boys every day," she said. "I was only trying to help them." She said the boys knocked on her door, said their power was out and asked for candles. Then, she said, they returned to say they needed her help with the candles.

The police report said once the boys lured her into the apartment, one of the twins pushed her down while the other slammed and locked the door. The report stated the boys held her down and repeatedly raped the woman. Other residents said they were concerned the apartment complex didn't send a warning out to the neighborhood. They were upset by the crime. "If they will do that to a grown woman, imagine what they could have done to these little girls running around here," said one mother. The victim is receiving counseling.

"I feel sorry for them," said the victim. "Because if someone was there for them more in life, they probably wouldn't do the things they do." She doesn't, however, want the boys to be released from police custody. "I do want them to have punishment. They need punishment for what they've done," she said. "I'm upset and scared."

Both the victim and attackers were African American. These types of incidents are not uncommon in many Africa American neighborhoods, due to the youth being sexualized at a young age through the Black ghetto culture and rap videos, not to mention the absence of father figures.
