My recommendation is:

On pages 137 to 170 in this book.....the number one cause of anti-Semitism by Christians over these past eighteen centuries is addressed.........(brilliantly I might add)....... and it could be argued that the author also address anti- Semitic activity by Muslims........ over the past twelve centuries.........

Here is a good example of the type of literature that can win the Nobel Prize for Literature:

I admit that I may be biased.... but I do believe that Dr. MacDonald has even Winston beat in this category...... because three to five centuries from now more humans will be aware of what Dr. MacDonald wrote than will be aware of what Winston did.

OK......... I realize that I should explain a little more.........
The number one cause of anti-Semitic pogroms and Holocausts against Jews in these last eighteen centuries is the accusation that the Jews killed Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus.

Well........ Bruce F. MacDonald Ph. D. claims that he...... was one of the twelve disciples......... in a past life........ specifically Judas Didymus Thomas, (Doubting Thomas) and........... according to him...........
although quite a number of Jewish teachers WANTED to kill Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus......... they did not succeed............
one of his own disciples did!

After I read this book late in 2012 I was in something of a state of shock for months...........

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children"

Dr. MacDonald..... unlike any other author of any book that I have read in my 59 years has shown how ignorance of the full truth........
led Christians to put ideas in front of Jews and skeptics and Muslims...... that were not accurate........
that were profoundly offensive to each audience.....and if we had known the full truth........

we would not have offended so many people and turned them away...........

The worst example of this is the Rabbinic Jewish scholars who we so offended..........
because Jewish Rabbis who teach that the Jewish people.........
are fulfilling Isaiah chapter 53..........
have authority....... and their words........ set in motion more examples of the Jewish people....... again and again and again and again...... fulfilling Isaiah 53..........

but if the truth that Bruce F. MacDonald Ph. D. revealed about the past life of Judas Didymus Thomas, Doubting Thomas was common knowledge...............

Jewish scholars would no longer insist that the Jewish people have to again and again and again and again..... fulfill Isaiah chapter 53...........
because they would know that one man did it two millennia ago...........

and it is terribly dangerous to compete with him for that role................

For the record... the Orthodox Christian teaching on the Virgin Birth is profoundly offensive to Jewish scholars......
Messiah has to be a human.....NOT an alien human hybrid....... and Dr. MacDonald was shown that when the Holy Spirit OVERSHADOWED Mary / Myriam....... the Holy Spirit told her to go and sleep with Joseph / Yosef..... so that the twins would be born at the correct time.

So.... Dr. MacDonald's near death experience account and later meditations address another one of the biggest road blocks to peaceful relations between Jews and Christians.

We Christians talk a lot about the fulfillment of Passover but this book can have us thinking about how the fall Jewish Holy Days were also fulfilled in the life of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus and his identical twin brother Judas Didymus Thomas, (Doubting Thomas).

"Thank you ,Dennis. An awareness of reincarnation is very important. When I was channelling the book, "The Thomas Book: Near Death, a Quest and a New Gospel by the Twin Brother of Jesus," I was constantly made aware of the importance of reincarnation to Jesus and to the early Christians. There are very important lessons about reincarnation in The Thomas Book, and the way it was written depends on the reality of reincarnation. A modern direct descendent of Jesus' teachings about reincarnation can be found in the Coptic Church in Egypt, which claims it drew its original teachings from St. Mark, who received his teachings from Jesus. They assert that reincarnation was one of the central teachings of Jesus himself, but that it was wiped out of the wider church by some of the later Roman emperors because those rulers did not want to think that they might be born as lesser beings sometime in the future. The emperors, in their pride, did not want to believe Jesus' teaching that "you reap what you sow," and that they might have to face the consequences of their actions in a future life. They wanted to be in the position where they answered to no one for their actions, as when they were emperors, so insisted that the Bishops pass a law that they would go directly to heaven instead of being reincarnated to face the consequences of their often cruel actions.

The first century Jewish historian, Josephus, says that the Pharisees and the Essenes believed in reincarnation. Since Jesus spent much time with the Essenes in his early life, it is natural that he would preach reincarnation. When I was told by Kevin Ryerson, one of the foremost trance channels in the United States, that I was the reincarnation of Judas Thomas, the twin brother of Jesus, it was a great shock in a way, even though I had been told by Jesus, when I was channelling the Thomas gospel in the early 1980s, that I was the reincarnation of Judas Thomas, and that was why I could write the gospel which came from him. To have this confirmed by someone with the stature of Kevin made it seem more striking in the modern world. By the way, for those who wonder about Jesus having a twin brother, there was an early and wide spread belief in this twin brother of Jesus (also wiped out by some of the people in power in the early Roman church) as can be found in "The Acts of Thomas," "The Book of Thomas the Contender," "The Gospel of Thomas" and "The Song of the Pearl" (all available on the internet).

Reincarnation was replaced with a belief in hell, which was a later, non-Christian teaching which found its way into the early Christian church. According to Jesus' teachings about reincarnation, facing the consequences of our actions in future lives is how we are "rewarded or punished" for what we do, and so, as Barbro Karlen says, we make our own heaven or hell.. But none of it is "punishment," even though it might seem like it is. When we face challenges or suffering in our life, it is a way for us to learn the consequences of earlier action -- it is not punishment. And it is the best way to learn. If we have caused suffering for others in the past, we need to learn what that suffering feels like so that we can decide not to do that again. As Edgar Cayce, the famous American "Sleeping Prophet" from the early 20th century says, "We must experience in our own soul what we have brought into the lives of others." That way we learn that bringing love and compassion and joy and peace into the lives of others brings the same to us, and bringing hatred and fear and pain into the lives of others brings the same to us. When Jesus said, "Do unto others what you would want done to you," he is reflecting this idea, because what we do to others is what will be done to us.

Of course suffering is not always punishment. Sometimes we choose to face challenges in our lives in order to strengthen our faith or our compassion or our understanding in some way. And sometimes advanced souls choose to be incarnated as poor people or beggers or others low in the estimation of the world, in order for us to realize that our negative judgement of the "least of these our brothers and sisters," may be all wrong, because, as Jesus puts it, these may actually be Jesus or some other advanced soul incarnate to teach us about the nature of love and compassion. I thought I would give you the gift of a really interesting story to take with you into 2016, because I am convinced that in our spiritual development we are not only "born again" spiritually in this life, but that we live many lives on our path to spiritual maturity. Many early Christians and their leaders believed in reincarnation, and I am convinced that Jesus taught it. However, it was largely wiped out of the record after the Roman church objected to it. But we can save all that for another time. Just now I want to tell you a story.

I am currently reading a book by a historian of Native ancestry called "The Old North Train: 15,000 Years of Indian History". It is a history of the tribes who lived in this area of southern Canada, west into Alberta, before the coming of the European farmers. The part of the history I am in right now talks about a lot of warfare which was going on around here in the mid 1800s. This is what made me think of this story.

A few years ago my daughter and I had a profound past life experience ----- together -- something we certainly did not expect. We (my wife, daughter and I) decided to go camping and chose a place called Crooked Lake in southern Saskatchewan, Canada. As we were driving out of the city, Rachel, who is very psychic, began to cry and said, "We can't go to Crooked Lake. I don't know why, but I know something bad is there, and we can't go." We persuaded her that it was just her imagination (we don't do that anymore) and went anyway.

We set up the tent and Rachel went for a walk by the lake. That night I had a vivid dream that I was the War Chief of a raiding party which was attacking the tents of our enemy at night on the flat area just up from Crooked Lake. We were carrying out a revenge attack, because we had been attacked by our enemies earlier. I don't know how many people we killed, but however many it was, it was a ferocious battle because they fought back. I remember in the dream fighting and killing, as is common in warfare.

Many people say that the Native People did not kill very many in their wars, but according to the First Nations historian I am presently reading, that is not always true of some of the battles which took place around here about 170 or more years ago. Some of the tribes did live peacefully together, but there were others who did not, and I assume that this story has to do with some people who had developed a great deal of animosity against each other.

In the morning I told Olive and Rachel my dream, and Rachel's eyes got bigger and bigger. The day before, while walking by the lake, she "saw" the ghostly forms of native warriors emerging from the lake, dripping water. They told her, "Avenge us. That man you are with was the War Chief who attacked your people and killed many. You must kill him to avenge our deaths."

She explained telepathically that this was a different time and place and that the man they referred to was now her father, not her enemy, and what they asked for could not be done. They were not happy and went back into the lake still wanting revenge.

That day Olive and I walked along the beach and Olive found a small pink arrow head. I found ancient scrapers and buffalo bone digging tools. We had never found these kinds of things before, yet here we found them on our second day of camping. These discoveries seemed to connect us to the people of long ago, and we still have them in our living room as a reminder of that time between times.

There was a strange atmosphere around the campsite, almost like a heavy, damp, humid presence. It seemed like the ancient warriors were hanging around and we could feel their presence from their watery grave.

In the book I am reading, strangely there are a number of stories of ghosts and ghost horses living in lakes, although I have not heard any stories from this lake.

We didn't stay long at the lake and decided not to return. But foolishly, a few years later, Olive and I decided to camp there again. I had checked it out telepathically and it seemed okay, and we now had a small trailer to sleep in, so it seemed okay.

When we arrived on a really hot, still, humid afternoon we were told there were no camping sites left. We should have gone somewhere else, but then the camp warden said they could bring in a tractor and mow a site for us. So we waited and set up for the night. But again there was a strange omen. In the tree above us a family of hawks came to stay in the afternoon. When I see hawks I know something is up. They are usually protective signs, but their presence also means that there is something to be protected against. I didn't know what it could be, but I was soon to find out.

Before cooking our supper, Olive and I went for a walk by the lake. On our way back to the trailer we walked quite far from an old stump, but as we passed, something came flying out directly at me and bit me on the finger. It was really strange, because I had not disturbed the stump and we were far away from it, but it flew straight at me, as if it had a purpose of its own!!

The atmosphere was still and hot and damp, with not a breath of a breeze. We sat by the trailer and got out our books to read, when I began to feel almost like I was being bitten all over by mosquitoes. Finally I said we should seek help, so we jumped in the jeep and drove to the camp host and hostess's trailer. They directed us to go to the gate and from there we called the ambulance from a town about half an hour's drive to the north. Just then, fortunately, the Ranger drove up in his truck. We told him we had called the ambulance and he volunteered to drive us the other way and he radioed the ambulance to meet us on the highway.

We made the transfer to the ambulance and rushed to the emergency department of the local hospital and got there none too soon. Shortly after we arrived my blood pressure dropped very low. They were able to give me an injection which brought it back up, but they said if I had not been in their care, I would likely have died! I spent the night in the ICU. They even brought a folding camp bed for Olive to sleep on in the ICU -- small town hospitals can do things big city ones can't.

The next morning I was discharged, but now we had to retrieve our trailer from the lake. In the ambulance I had been in a semi-conscious state and could hear the warriors laughing in glee. They had used a hornet to get their revenge and fully expected me to die. Would they try to get further revenge when we returned?

In meditation I was able to contact them and to acknowledge that in the past I had done something I should not have done. I apologized and explained telepathically that the woman I had killed back then in the revenge raid was now my daughter and that I loved her very much. I explained that things had changed over the intervening years and asked their forgiveness. I also told them that if they wished, they did not have to remain trapped in their anger and hatred at the bottom of the lake, but could move on into other spiritual states where they could grow into love instead of hatred.

(As an interesting side note, I shared this story with a First Nations artist friend and he shared it with the elders on his reserve. They told him that there were many angry spirits on the prairies and that they needed to be reached and changed in order to bring change into the lives of many of the First Nations people who are in trouble with drugs and crime in the present.)

The ancient warrior ghosts listened and when I told them I had to return to get my trailer, they said they would not try to harm me again. But they told me to never come back to Crooked Lake again, or they might try to kill me.

We quickly hitched up the trailer, gathered our few belongings, said goodbye to the hawk family in the tree, and left. Again, the atmosphere was tense, hot, damp with not a breath of wind. It was as if we were being watched as we got ready to leave. Once we got beyond the boundaries of the lake the wind began to blow again and the atmosphere changed and we drove home in a relaxed, sunny day.

Later I had a special nuclear medical test which showed that I am deathly allergic to "White Faced Hornets," and that is what had stung me. Did the warriors somehow know about my allergy and how a hornet might achieve the revenge they so desperately sought?

I have been learning a lot about the effects of past lives and this experience taught me lessons on many levels, but especially about how we can overcome the events of the past and learn to love, about how our mortal enemies from the past could become our loved ones in the present, about how the results of our actions in the past affect the present and how our present actions will affect our distant future.

We are responsible for our actions! And we have to learn from our errors. As Jesus teaches even in the canonical Gospels, "We reap what we sow," and "He who lives by the sword will die by the sword." These teachings mean little if we only have one life, because many people do not reap what they sow in this life, and many people who live by violence do not die violently in this life. If Jesus' teachings are to be seen to have validity, they must be seen in the light of reincarnation.

The disciples obviously believed in reincarnation. About the man born blind (John 9:2) they ask Jesus, "Was he born blind because of the sin of his parents or because of his own sin?" If it was because of his own sin, and he was BORN blind, then the sin must have been committed in a past life.

The Jewish historian of the first century, Josephus, says that the Essenes and the Pharisees believed in reincarnation, and Jesus grew up among the Essenes so most likely, just from historic reasoning, was exposed to reincarnational teachings from the beginning. And the Coptic Christians of Egypt say that they learned of reincarnation from St. Mark, who taught their ancestors what Jesus had taught him.

One of the profound things about "The Thomas Book" is found in Jesus' teachings about reincarnation. In these teachings, which are found throughout the gospel, I believe some of the fundamental truths of Jesus' / Yeshua's teachings can be found again, truths which were eliminated from our Bibles when the belief in reincarnation was outlawed.

Without these teachings, and the truths which are being revealed in near-death experiences, even most of the clergy in the Christian churches do not have any idea what follows death. All they have are vague notions which have, in many cases, painted God as a sadistic monster, and have driven people away from the teachings of Jesus, because his message has not been reported fully in the surviving accounts of his life.

A dear friend of mine, a minister named Rev. Clarence Lethbridge, was finally turned against the messages in the biblical accounts of Jesus, by the studies which showed the inconsistencies in the biblical texts. He was approaching death and had lost his faith, when "The Thomas Book" was published in 2010. I gave him a copy and, after he read it, we went for lunch together.

We talked about all sorts of things but finally came to what was really on his mind -- my book. With tears in his eyes he said, "Your book has restored my faith. I had lost all belief in anything to do with the message I had spent my life teaching and thought when I died I would just be buried in the ground, like we used to bury a dead cow on the farm, and that would be the end of it. But now I know what is coming, and I am so glad you gave me this great gift before I died." He died, happily, a couple of months later and I was so glad I was able to restore something so precious to him before he had to face his own passing.

I hope you enjoyed the story of my experience and I hope it made you think about how your life may stretch far into the past, if you do not already think reincarnation is valid, and far into the future, where you will have to deal with whatever you choose to do now -- so choose wisely.

And all the best in 2016 and 2116, because we may all be here again, learning more about our human and divine condition.

9. How can a person become lost after death? Don't we just pass on?

While God always Loves us and never turns away from us, when the time comes for us to crossover ... some may decide not to go into the Light and remain earthbound for a time. This is a very difficult kind of experience and there are a great number of Souls who exist in this station right now. In fact, much of my one-on-one practice is helping those who have the energy of earthbound Spirits hitchhiking in their spiritual atmosphere. When I observe that an angry energy is attached to someone, I see that these beings are lost ...and most have not yet found God or Love during their physical lives ... so now they feel confused, bewildered, caught or trapped. And (in a moment of struggle) they feel as if they have no other choice but to siphon off the Light(s) of others ... who are still alive and in a physical body.

I was not joking when I used this title to describe this quotation from that astonishing book:

Five paragraphs that have the potential to save this world!

"You do not understand this life, he said on a later occasion, so you do not understand what you can achieve. You think that you were born and die and have only the time in between to live. The Sadducees do not even believe in the resurrection. And the Pharisees and Essenes believe you are saved or damned on the basis of what you do here in this life.

If we Christians began to take the idea of some part of our soul or over soul or spirit or whatever it is.......
coming back again and again and again we would have the necessary motivation to attempt to save the planet.......
as opposed to thinking of Climate Change as a problem for our children and grandchildren to figure out!

So.... I wasn't joking when I stated that I thought that those five paragraphs from Dr. MacDonald's book could begin to set in motion a shift in the way that Christians interact with people from Buddhism, Hinduism and Orthodox Jews who believe firmly in the idea of reincarnation in some form.

We are vibrational Beings

When I read what he wrote in chapter 10 I experienced a major sense of relief.........

The Issue of Sex

Probably more than any issue that troubles people on this planet (other than religion) is the issue of sex. "Sex" in our world is more than a wordit is a literal obsession. But there is a reason for this and if we are to master our understanding of what sex is exactly, we first have to comprehend a few things:

In the beginning, (in Heaven) all Souls were once grouped all-together as ONE with Godand all together we formed a tremendous Joy filled mass of Light, Music and Love.

Then the time came when God decided to allow us to have our own unique and independent experience, so we were divided apart from one another and Him and eventually allowed to incarnate our Spirit into flesh-based vessels, we today call "physical bodies".

While in the physical body, when we have the desire to seek out sexual activity, the true 'subliminal' purpose and reason for this is so that we might realize 'a sense' of connectivity and be in Unionwith another (whose energy we are attracted to) who also holds "God's Signature and Spark" within, just as we do.

I first read the following about an hour or so ago........
I know that this can lead us into a serious squabble........ so I thought and prayed about this for a while and then replied with.....

"No, Pat Robertson’s soul is not in some pit of fire somewhere.
The ‘hell’ he has coming will be much different, and completely self created.
By the law of karma
He/She will be reborn to a place he caused the most damage:
Into one of the most homophobic families and dysfunctional social environments possible….

actually I have one of my own.......
I strongly suspect that the Apostle Paul had a near death experience..... or something very similar........
I believe that at the time that the Apostle Paul wrote about his experience in Second Corinthians chapter twelve......
he viewed some of what he had been shown as being unlawful to be uttered......
but... by the time that the Apostle Paul wrote Romans chapters nine, ten and eleven he was willing to tackle that information that he had believed two or three years previously.......
