Why does YouTube keep putting so many adverts on aimed at women? The number of adverts related to cooking utensils, kitchen appliances, parking aids etc.. is phenomenal. Is there a way to switch them off?

Although the page layout and navigation are different, there are no ads. I use FF on Linux and don't know the experience on Windows or with Chromium.
