When last I spoke on this issue. I sought to establish a few areas key to the understanding of zimbabwe. Firstly, I sought to explain the causes apon which the collapse of normal relations and ensuing hostilities between Zimbabwe and the U.K, E.U and U.S came to be about.
Secondly, How these hostilities turned into a Western sponsored project of "Regieme change".
Thirdly, Why forieghn backed interventionist policies were inherently flawed hence destined to fail. Albeit with spectacular fashion and lastly. Why the harshness of the global economic realities would bring the U.K, E.U and the U.S to re-evaluate their stance against maintaining hostilities against Zimbabwe.

Before I begin, I'd like to perhapse explain why Iv'e mentioned the U.K, E.U and the U.S in this particular order. The Zimbabwean conflict is a culmination of the Land Redistribution exercise apon which the aim was to redress the imbalances caused by a situation whereby the White minority, (4% of the national population) had sole rights to over 80% of all productive land in Zimbabwe.
This was in essence a bi-lateral dispute between the U.K and Zimbabwe stemming primarily from the fact that these "victims" of racial persicution held dual citizenship making them British aswell. Naturaly they sought the intervention of the former colonial master.
The British Government, knowing full well of the commitments it made concerning land redistribution during the Lancester House peace and constitutional conference. Reneged on its obligation to compensate the settler farmers. The U.K. then saw it fit to assert pressure through irrelevant institutions such as the Common Wealth for which Zimbabwe responded by simply pulling out. As the situation became more dire for white settler farmers in Zimbabwe, with normal methods of subjucation failing. The U.K sought to use its influence by manipulating the E.U block through falsehoods of attrocities against man and gross human rights violations. As a united front under the banner of collectivism in Forieghn policy, Economic sanctions and embargos were flung Zimbabwe's way hence my stating the E.U as the second of our detracters. The same manipulation and distortionment of events on the ground, coupled by an openly bias and hostile international media apparatus led to the passing of the Zimbabwe Economoc Democracy and Recovery Act (ZIDERA) passed by the Bush Administration in 2000 apon which he justified this policy by saying " Zimbabwe represents a unique and unusual threat to the interests of the U.S"
Let me qualify his statement. The unusuality and uniqeness of the threat simply came from the fact that Zimbabwe represents economic equality based on a model of indigenous ownership. Uncle Sam being the global resource monger it is wouldn't have that so a good old hiding was in order. The consequence of parity in economic trade, dealing with a Government that actualy "owens" its resources was unimmaginable consedring the status quo. (one of exploitation and dependancy)

Now that Im done with that... Fourteeen years down the most trying and taxing road ZANU PF, led by President Mugabe remains strong standing having masacred the Western sponsored puppet party. The MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai.
Zimbabwe has a wealth of natural resources, resources in reserves the world cant simply brush aside and ignore. Which is why the Government has finalised multi-billion dollar bi-lateral agreements with Russia and China in September which will aid in the successful implimentation of the economic blueprint ZIM ASSET. (Zimbabwe Agenda for sustainable social and economic transformation)
The U.K and E.U dropped their sanctions against Zimbabwe and we are currently witnessing a rapid normanilisation of relations and prospects of re-establishing economic trade links. The outlook for growth is phenominal with international investers in a race to clinch deals with the ZANU PF Government.
It is only natuaral that eventualy ZIDERA will be scrapped aswell, that is. If the U.S wishes to gain a strengthend foothold in the Southern African Economic sphere to which Zimbabwe is central and an interface with Central Africa.
As always Im willing to entertain any questions pertaining to Zimbabwe and its domestic and forieghn policies.

July 25 2016 - THE fallout between President Robert Mugabe and war veterans, once his most loyal allies, may force Zimbabwe’s military to show its hand, sooner, rather than later. Can Zimbabwe implement an idea I have for stimulating local middle-class industry?

The idea is making bilateral trade agreements that all parts and tools used to repair the imported capital (such as mining machinery, farm machinery, or automobiles) are produced in the country. For instance if Toyota wants to sell trucks to Zimbabwe, they have to open a factory in Zimbabwe that is sufficient to produce the amount of parts estimated to be consumed in Zimbabwe and the tools and factory equipment will have to be maintained by local industry as well. Japan would be allowed to tightly control their capital investment and quality of services in Zimbabwe, but they would not be allowed to import replacement parts or tools like they would be allowed to import their cars.

The purpose of this is not to stimulate heavy industry that is out of reach of any 3rd world country and already a cornered market by major Global powers, but rather to siphon some of the requirements of that heavy industry out of the home country (in that example, Japan) and into the host country (in this case Zimbabwe), providing higher skilled jobs and a better domestic income for further consumption.

Is this at all a feasible policy and is this at all in the minds of any Zimbabwean officials? Or any officials of other African nations?
