Zimmerman had received prescriptions for Adderall and Temazepam

I am not familiar with either drug.. Does anyone know anything about them and why they are prescribed?

The court documents also show that prior to the shooting, Zimmerman had received prescriptions for Adderall and Temazepam, which have been shown to cause agitation and mood swings, though in less than 10 percent of consumers.

The report also shows Zimmerman said he felt stressed and "occasional nausea when thinking about the violence." Despite the head injuries, he wasn't diagnosed with a concussion.

The doctor recommended that Zimmerman be evaluated by a psychologist.

Zimmerman declined being admitted to a hospital for treatment on the night of the shooting, according to the report.

He didn't take his doctor's advice to schedule a later visit with an ear, nose and throat physician. The doctor noted Zimmerman made the Feb. 27 appointment at Altamonte Family Practice to receive legal clearance for returning to work.

Zimmerman's medical records were among several pieces of evidence on a list the court released Tuesday.

The list shows that prosecutors have also obtained security camera footage of Martin at a 7-11 convenience store. The confrontation between Martin and Zimmerman happened as Martin was carrying a bag of Skittles and an iced tea from a 7-11 through Zimmerman's gated community to a family friend's house.


Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who regularly patrolled the Retreat at Twin Lakes community in Sanford, Fla., reported Martin as a suspicious person to the police, who urged him not to follow Martin. Prosecutors have also obtained Zimmerman's cell phone records and some text messages he sent in March.

 

Adderall is for people with ADD and Tamazepan is for people with insomnia. It is medical malpractice, IMO, to prescribe both.

When you were making your drug list for Trayvon yesterday did you consider GZ ight be taking some of the drugs on your list???

 

Margot, you know a Trayvon on multiple drugs thread is a coming. I mean, wow, did this drug combo give off a scent that Trayvon smelled and it made him attack Zimmerman? Trayvon attacked ok? What drugs are in his system are the MOST important. So why you try to paint George as an aderall addict and try to get his Doctor fired because you also dont like his diagnosis on Zimmermans injuries, Trayvons actions matter the most. I am pretty sure he wont have a prescription for the weed that will be found in his system.

 

One is an upper the other a downer. Combine the two and what do you think happens?

Are you done? Yes, imagine the trauma of killing someone in a sudden act of rage brought on by an indignant thug. No one ever wants to encounter that, my god. He should be seeing a shrink, hopefully he is. And he said all this stuff about anxiety over the shooting before the press and Sharpton were tearing him apart. Picking on this guy because he defended himself is one of the most retarded things I have ever encountered on the net.

 

The drug combination doesn't make people psychotic in most circumstances, but most doctors would not prescribe both uppers and downers--especially when those two drugs are highly addictive. As I said, in my opinion, this is malpractice.

Adderral for those that that have ADD calms them down. It would make him less-likely to shoot Trayvon because he got jumpy...or whatever. I'm so tired of this one stupid case getting national attention when this (*)(*)(*)(*) happens every single day in major cities around the country. It's political pandering and actually an injustice to all the other cases not getting the same level of attention.

Mood swings caused by drugs does not necessarily equate or lead to homicidal behavior, if it did he will get off by reason of insanity. Is that what you want?

I know that GZ didn't follow up on doctor's advice.

I know that Adderal is speed and Restoril is a sleeping hypnotic.

So if you take speed in the morning and "patrol" the streets at night.. you may have A PROBLEM.

 

Weed, adderal, and Alcohol. I bet though, Tray wont be prescribed adderal, but who knows, its possible. But he was probably snorting them.

 

To me.. it does sound like GZ was having a manic episode, but I am not a shrink.
