Awesome, the bloodbath grows deeper. As much as I don't want any of the other nominees to win the primary, I definitely do not want Perry to win it and hopefully as Americans see that even his fellow Republicans don't like him they will stop supporting him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Herman Cain: 'Today, I Could Not Support Rick Perry As The Nominee' GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain said on CNN Wednesday afternoon that he could not support fellow candidate Rick Perry as the Republican party's nominee. Citing border security as a key divide, Cain told CNN's Wolf Blitzer, "Today, I could not support Rick Perry as the nominee for a host of reasons. Him being soft on securing the border is one of the reasons. Days after defeating Perry in the GOP's Florida straw poll by a significant margin, Cain aimed to distance himself from the Texas governor not just in the polls but also on policy. As noted by The Daily Caller, Cain explained that his immigration stance represents "a basic difference of opinion" with Perry. I feel very strongly about the need to secure the border for real, the need to enforce the laws that are already there, the need to promote the path to citizenship thats already there, Cain said. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/28/herman-cain-rick-perry_n_986232.html
So, as a liberal, you side with Herman Cain for opposing Rick Perry's liberal policy on immigration? Have fun figuring that out.
Can't disagree with Cain here. Past administrations, this one and Perry's policies have been rather timid on addressing an already unacceptable domestic problem. I'm not up to speed on the particulars Mr. Cain offers to curb the issue though... anyone have them?
Build a fence, penalize employers who knowingly hire illegals, not give tuition breaks to children of illegals. I don't know if he's given more than this, so far.
Given a choice.... Cain > Perry I think it is funny to hear liberals support the more Conservative Cain over Perry.
To be fair, I don't think it's accurate to suggest liberals & conservatives are just that on every topic... perhaps the fringe (or far left or right) groups, sure.
Good on Herman, . . . although I would have to say, 'Today, I Couldn Not Support Herman Cain As The Nominee either' I worked on PoS Systems for European companies and the VAT is absolutely one of the worst evils that can be imposed on a capitalist market. His brain dead solution 999 is a step in that direction which hurts the poor and middle class while benefitting those who need it least. Another shill for Big Business.
