Why is it that people with huge sums on money, never seem to go to jail, even though they may have committed serious felonies, or crimes(sometimes corporate crimes). If what they do is against the law, why don't they go to jail?
It because your elected politicians decided to crowd the law books with so many contradictory rules and exceptions that a good lawyer can make anything happen, and the rich people have enough money to hire such a lawyer.
I think part of the deal is that rich people are commiting different types of crimes. They're insider trading rather than knocking over a gas station. Since insider trading is NOT a violent crime, the punishment is not as severe. The traders are also much harder to catch as insider trading is usually not caught on security cameras. They both get jail time though, if caught.
American government gives to the rich more privileges than other people can get. It is source of injustice. Don't be afraid of speaking about this kind of injustice, don't be silent!
Class justice, the more money the easier to stay out of jail. A person can pay (buy) the best lawyers. This shows you how uncivil the system has become. Civilisation and justice can only be restored by good, trusted and honest people together with people who also want to see the corrupt people arrested and procecuted. Will take a long time when the world will be peaceful and civil (last century shows how bad it can become when people do nothing to all this corruption and tyranny)
Yeah, I can't figure that one out. He appeared to be guilty until he tried to put on the blood-drenched gloves that were at least 3 times too small for his hands. That becomes "reasonable doubt".
That's right. Big money = big relations and big power . Thereby, in countries with high level of corruption, a rich and "respectable" criminal has a good chance to escape punishment.
