What amuses me is that they have no idea who they are really (*)(*)(*)(*)ing with. Sure anon can hack some weak sites and DDOS the larger ones. But they fail to realize if the CIA wanted to they could destroy/shut down any site almost instantly. That includes 4chan (their interwebz base), twitter, or even facebook.
Playing soon at an abandoned plot, anywhere "anonymous" is outed nearby: . This is an obvious set-up....
Anon has done this crap before. Its nothing new for them. Also, the CIA doesn't kill hackers, and very rarely do they get sent to prison. They just get "drafted for community service" at the CIA/FBI's web security offices. Then when they have matured up and served the country for a bit they get released and often start up software or internet security companies.
we have no idea what has or has not been done to hackers considered a threas bythe Intell community; they generally don't take out ads to report any "wet" actions. This was a set-up to flush out the fools; the CIA already has the best hackers on Earth...

Where do you think they get some of their best from? Many "black hat" hackers become part of government agencies once caught.
Not true; you are confusing the banking industry with the intell community. People involved in deep IT for the CIA are recruited for their patriotism (yeah, they still care about that), as much as their tech skills, and there ar PLENTY of them from MIT,etc., ad nausem...
Please re-read the rule on thread creations. (7) Thread Creation: THE OPENING POST OF A THREAD SETS THE TOPIC AND TONE OF THE DISCUSSION. It should contain a member's opinions or questions with sufficient elaboration to establish a foundation for respectful discussion and debate. Threads should not be posted in the wrong forum, or be duplicates of other threads and/or topics (creating multiple threads with fundamentally the same topic is not allowed). Images, links, quotations, etc., should be used to support a member's opinion, not to replace it. Thread titles should be a description of the thread topic (and if not they may be altered by the moderators). Whether a thread has sufficiently set a basis for respectful debate on the thread topic will be at the discretion of the moderators Future violation will result in the thread being deleted. Please expand on your topic and don't just post a link. The OP should facilitate discussion with an opinion. Thank You.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...good-hackers/2011/08/02/gIQAXZAbqI_story.html If they think your useful. They don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about your patriotism or past.
doesn't say what stuff in your background disqualifies you though. And for good reason. Also, NSA isn't the only one hiring, which is something the article states.
I was going to post the same thing. It is a fairy tale. The NSA/CIA have equipment and analysts that go so far beyond anything these hackers could even imagine. It is laughable really.
Yeah. I imagine there are only a dozen capable/above medium hackers in the group at most. The rest are just hundreds/thousands of big headed nobodies with time to fill and the ability to follow about 4 steps of command.
They took down the CIA website.....BIG WHOOP! Anyone can do that! Now, if they actually took down the CIA's internal computer systems and whatever itself, then that would be something to brag about.
Remember, many of these people think that posting on someone else's already open Facebook account, or any link that auto-posts a status update to your wall are hacking your account.
