I was just curious to see how many people out there that think we should declare war on Iran. I know a few people that are against all the GOP candidates except Ron Paul because he was the only one against the idea of war. So my question is, should we declare war, and does the opinion of war affect the way you see the candidates?
I do not see the advantage to the United States. So if I can I would choose a canidate that does not want war with Iran. Frankly if we were realy concerned about nuclear weapons getting into the hands of countries that hate us we would have invaded North Korea a long time ago(for Gods sake they have said they would use them!). Since we have not I would say it is safe to assume that there are other options then war when in involves crazy countries with nukes.
War with Iran would not hold a return on investment for us. Paul Wolfowitz told us the Iraq war would pay for itself, and that didn't happen.

It almost hurts Iran to have nuclear weapons. Because if they use them when we attack, which we will, it will give the hawks justification for erasing the country from the pages of time.
I think we need a better reason to invade beside the fact that they are developing nuclear weapons. We didn't invade other countries while they were obtaining them. I think we're just afraid of letting a country in the Middle East having the power of having them due to the high amount of terrorist activity in the region.
Ditto , plus the fact that the Top 3 Leaders of Iran have said in public 46 times over the last 7 years that the will wipe Israel from the Map or Drive The Jews into the Sea or Eliminate the Zionist Occupiers or ...
Yeah, that kind of talk is unacceptable for the 21st century. It's sink or swim and Iran sounds like they are striving to sink. So be it.
Yes we should. The regime in Iran is directly responsible not only for it's facilitation of acts of terrorism, and the deaths of countless innocents. But also for the deaths of American Soldiers in Iraq. Not to mention the fact that Iran, consistently attempts to undermine, and destroy the government of Israel, which is an ally of the United States.
Iran lookin' to provoke a fight... Iran warships enter Mediterranean via Suez Canal 18 February 2012 - Iranian warships have entered the Mediterranean Sea for only the second time since the 1979 revolution. See also: What sanctions? Top five countries buying oil from Iran. Iran is the third-largest exporter of crude oil in the world, behind Saudi Arabia and Russia. Its economy relies heavily on oil exports. Recent Western sanctions have targeted Irans oil industry in hopes of pressuring Tehran to address international concerns about its nuclear program.
Iran is not a threat to anyone. But they do stand in the way of zionist expansion, and Israel won't stand for that.
Wow, that's dumb. Really dumb. Israel is in the same place it has always been. Israel is not threatening to annihilate Iran. Israel is not shooting missiles into Iranian residential neighborhoods. Again, I'm simply dumbfounded by the ignorance of your comment.
According to propoganda on forums like this. Iran are akin to a james bond super villain who are building evil weapons. While israel is goodness and light and america is yelling "war is peace"
When was the last time you heard anything from Israel, solemnly stating that their goal is to annihilate Iran? Or any other country, for that matter? ***crickets chirping***
Exactly. Hamas launches rockets into densely populated Israeli civilian neighborhoods, and Israel responds by taking out Hamas military targets. Then the idiots of the world claim that Israel is the aggressor. How people ca be so stupid is beyond me.
