I kinda like these guys... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrXyLrTRXso&feature=player_embedded"]Anonymous - Message to the American People - YouTube[/ame]
I think the ads running at the bottom were kinda telling. BarrackObama . com, ElizabethWarren . com, and google+. I guess I am supposed to take this seriously?
Apparently the NSA seems to think they're a borderline terrorist group. http://www.theatlantic.com/technolo...o-you-trust-less-the-nsa-or-anonymous/253399/ Going a bit overboard, I think.
It could be that Anonymous is another "terrorist" organization devised by the government in order to scare the citizenry into allowing them to regulate the internet.
Afraid that's the direction I lean on this. Just that their timing is pretty bad, where the gov't can say "look, internet terrorists are attacking us, so we need to pass this legislation." A thinking gov't would use this to their advantage, so I'm sure they are, however, many of the "anonymous" events could also be entirely "anonymous."
The Google ads definitely support that theory. "Anonymous" my ass! That's about as bad as the Occupy movement getting union endorsements. Friggin' hypocrites.
No (*)(*)(*)(*), I can turn them off, thanks! I know you can turn them off, I thought it was interesting what ads were running, not wether I could turn them on or off. I am listening to a group of thugs whine about the congress and yet ads for Barrack Obama are running at the bottom, the guy who wanted this bill passed. I think its a bit ironic the message supposedly being portrayed by anonymous and the ads at the bottom of the picture. I am not much into conspiracy theories, but I am pretty sure anonymous' bread is buttered on the left side!
When you are ready to learn a little on how the "Internet" works, I will be glad to help. If you want freedom on the Internet, support the Net Neutrality Act.
Why does there need to be a Bill stating NOT to regulate something? Besides that Obama signed ACTA....
Take it seriously? Yes. Anyone who doesn't take the continuing erosion of our liberties and sovereignty seriously, is a fool at their own peril.
I'm going to dive in here because it seems like more than a couple people don't understand how the embedded Google ads on YouTube videos works. The ads typically are tailored based on the account your signed in with, since none of us are using our Google accounts to view the video. So instead it uses other data to determine what ad to run based on the context, since this is on a political forum it returns an ad that's political in nature. The person who uploads the video has no idea what ad will be shown, and also has no control over it. Anonymous has no more kind feelings for Obama than they do for any political figure.
UN tryin' to take over the internet... Lawmakers push resolution opposing UN regulation of the Internet 3/27/12 : The bill's sponsors warned that China and Russia might seek a U.N. resolution to give authoritarian regimes censorship powers.
