    Isnt this racist? Thee subtle racism in is amazing. This is no different from me being proud of having "European blood" which liberals constantly tell me is stupid.

    There is nothing wrong with what Michele Obama said, but the liberal double standard is wrong. If liberals were right they'd criticize her too.

    How is being proud of her "African blood" not racist?

    I am constantly told I am racist by the forum liberals for saying the same thing!

    It should be of no surprise to anyone that those who speak the most about race, are themselves the most racist. Which of course, makes the Democratic Party the party of racism in America.

    I don't have an issue with what she said. Everyone should be able to take pride in their heritage. The OP does touch upon the valid double standard though, where if a White Guy tries to claim pride, Liberals trip over themselves to hand him a robe and hood.

    So what? Who cares what opinion anyone has that doesn't hurt you, unless your so shallow that anyone who is proud of their ancestry would bother you. I think your being hyper sensitive to be honest. Does it bother you that someone who is of Irish stock celebrates their "Irish blood" on St. Patricks day or wears a green Irish clover or someone who is Italian sports a pin-on Italian flag?

    You need to re read my post. That is not what I am criticizing. That's fine to be proud of her African blood, and me of my European blood, but according to liberals its not. So that is why I asked the question and want to hear liberal responses.

    in the history of humanity, there are some things that are unassailable. First is, we ALL have the blood of Africa running through our veins as that is where we first stood up and walked on two legs and not four....

    Second is, EVERYBODY in North America came from somewhere else. Everybody has the blood of some other culture or society or region running through our veins. Even the native Americans who were here before the Europeans came, themselves came across the land bridge from somewhere else in Asia....

    So what, exactly, is the big deal with what she said?

    Probably, the OP nor anyone else thinks it's racist, however, the point to be made is that if a white American declared the blood of white Europe (Germany, in particular) ran through his/her veins, Democrats would say such a statement is racist.

    It is obvious that the blood of Africa does indeed run through Michelle Obama's veins and she certainly has the right to be proud of it.

    The pure blood of Africa also runs through her husband's veins, so why does he deny that his biological mother is African?
