They are doing their best to avoid the nuclear Armageddon that the US is trying to push them to.

Yeah, that pretty much is a load of ridiculous nonsense. It’s the time for a united front vs ISIS, but everyone in the coalition has other priorities. Russia wants Assad in, France is ok with this. The US and Turkey want him out. The US and Turkey refuse to defeat ISIS if he stays. Turkey is fine with ISIS if they attack the Kurds. Russia sees Assad a critical for stability and to defeat ISIS. Russia and Iran want Syria as a client state and the EU and US have competing commercial and security plans for Syria.

Russian pilots pull stunts around borders and buzz the ships of its rivals and in this kind of a mess these things happen. Had the US dealt with ISIS when the Defense Intelligence Agency started sounding the alarm in 2012 Russia wouldn't be involved today, but Obama dithered to maintain the fantasy that his withdrawal from Iraq was a raging success. Now we have a big mess, and now Russia and Iran will have a say in the prosecution and the outcome. What a Cluster.

Here is a video of Zirinovsky, you can hear what he says for yourself...or rather read what he says. He is not important though in the Russian political realm of things. He didn't say to nuke Istanbul. He said Moscow should nuke the Bosporus and that the waters would then rise and cover the city...which is ridiculous since it would contaminate the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea....besides, how could ships then pass through.

It was said in a moment of anger. It also might have to do also with Erdogan's plans on building a canal to bypass the Bosporus...which could lead to Ankara's control over who goes through with the excuse of protecting the Bosporus from pollution.

Because of the lies and propaganda not only in the Turkish media and the arrest now of the editor of Cumhurriyet, but also the lies and propaganda in the American corporate media, I foresee a war...something the neo cons want, so they can destroy Europe and buy it up the way they are doing now in Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin knows very well they want to drag Russia and Europe into a war, and has been patiently building up his armed forces. There is one thing he will not tolerate and he has given a warning to Erdogan, and that is the closing off of the Straits from the Black Sea. Let's hope Erdogan acts rationally and doesn't get carried away.

If ever there was a time that Russia could nuke a city in Europe or anywhere for that matter and have the US President curled in a fetal position sucking his thumb mumbling, "There's no place like home" it would be now. Obama wouldn't do a damn thing, I don't think Europe would either. Sure there'd be NATO movements but nothing substantial would be done about it --- unless of course Obama unleashes the EPA on Putin for all that nuclear pollution and radiation.... Putin would be in serious trouble once the EPA got a hold of him.

 

Why not? Maybe you think Americans are keen to die for the sake of Turkey? Because any nuclear strike on Moscow will cause the retaliation strike of Russian strategic forces, that, of course, means extermination both of Russia and USA.

Of course, NATO will support Turkey. With words. EU, including Merkel and Holland are not stupid themselves to support Turkey. Less that in Germany they do not like Turks.

 

Russian armed forces are so advanced that they don't need to nuke anyone. They can defeat them in the sea, air and land with their conventional forces. Here's an example of their abilities to stop everyone in their tracks. ..something your media is not going to tell you.

When the top American destroyer the USS Donald Cook entered the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber flew over the vessel and demoralized the crew so much, that 10% refused to return to the ship... forcing the Pentagon to issue a protest.

The US destroyer is equipped with the advanced Aegis system that can destroy hundreds of targets at the same time. It has 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of several stations as well as fifty anti-aircraft missiles of various types. The intent was probably to frighten Russia.

A Russian Su-24 began buzzing the USS Donald Cook, but it didn't carry bombs or missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage. It contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny. When the jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, the way a TV set is turned off with the remote control.

The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook. The ship was left literally deaf and blind. The unarmed Russian aircraft repeated the same maneuver 12 times before flying away. After that, the destroyer set sail towards a port in Romania, and since then no ship has ever approach Russian territorial waters again.

The system was used again in Syria when Russia took control of the skies. The first to challenge Russia were six Israeli jets. They were made deaf and blind and flew back immediately. It panicked the Israeli Generals, so that they immediately paid Putin a visit together with Netanyahu.
