Lets get to the reciprocal argument. Criminals love gun control. When you have a gun and someone doesn't you're behind the power curve. Any form of self defense goes out the door if the other guy is armed and you're not. It's really simple. Peace through superior firepower. It's why BLM is very selective in where they decide to riot. Look at the crime in the inner cities where gun control is strict. My favorite examples are Chicago and Baltimore. Yep, the thug rats would love strict gun control. I have no problem with understanding the principle.

Add New York City to the list, I have had Criminals tell Me they favored strict Gun Control, they hate Armed Victims, People that fight back, since they do not follow Gun Laws, and according to protection of Law, cannot be compelled to obey Law over Defense.

Criminals by definition, by law as well as practice don't engage in background checks. Next.

Criminals might hate not being able to pass a background check or investigation due to a past conviction / Criminal History.

as of now, what trouble have you gun lovers had getting the guns you need to fight off the bad guys? I thought you were all armed to the hilt, ready to do battle with the government.

I think it be great if you could buy an AR-15 from a vending machine. Also drugs, which criminals are also happy most are illegal and/or hard to get. So if people could get cocaine and heroin and anything else conveniently, that would certainly add to the freedoms we all should be able to enjoy.

Americas love of guns is really interesting - If I lived in America i'd arm myself.

Living in the UK means there is no point in owning a gun, at least not for protection anyway.

Why do so many people want you to give up your guns? I've never understood that.

Are you suggesting cocaine and other illegal drugs are difficult to get?

    - - - Updated - - -

I feel bad for you guys in the UK. Not so much that guns are illegal, but that self defense itself is illegal there.

Recently someone tried to buy a gun off me. Due to recent events in his life I wasn't sure he could legally buy a gun so I insisted he do a background check. He did and was denied. State police came looking because apparently he was on probation. He said that his lawyer said he'll be in the clear as soon as he pays a fine so I told him once he clears that up I'll do another BGC if he still wants to buy it. The thing is I could have sold it to him. He had cash in hand and there was no paper trail linking me to the gun. Nobody had to know. It's just like drug dealers on the street. How many of them ask for a prescription before they'll sell you meth?

You did the right ethical thing, I posted another idea, get a photocopy of the buyer's driver's license, getting the background check is a better idea, the results were quick.

Of course, Drug Dealers simply want cash.

A year ago a law went into effect here requiring a BGC on all private sales so a copy of the drivers license and a bill of sale won't cut it if he tells the cops he got the gun from me.
