Kaepernick should be fined by the team and NFL for disrespecting the country. Had he insulted Mexico we know the fine would be huge and the suspension long. Also, the guy had no idea what he's talking about, he's just burping up talking points which were fed to him by his handlers. I hope his career ends and this is how he's remembered.

So free speech doesn't pertain to him huh? Show me the rule he broke by not standing for the anthem. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing in the NFL rulebook stating players must stand, so there is nothing to fine or suspend him for.

Did you say that when an NFL player was fined, suspended and sent to re-education camp for making a harmless comment about Michael Sam?

I don't think anything should have happened to him either, but the Dolphins reacted quickly due to what they went through the year before with Martin and Incognito.

    1) He has the right to do what he did.
    2) The NFL can suspend him, fine him, or ban him from playing forever.
    3) Sponsors can cancel their contracts with him.

Let the assclown throw his little tantrum.

We have no shortage of assclown celebrities who are known for nothing but their assclownery.

Kaepernick is just another militant anti-American scumbag who will run his belligerent mouth about things which have absolutely no basis in fact.

If hes so interested in protesting America then surely he will give back his American dollar salary and leave the country setting sail to a land run by "his people" such as Haiti or Somalia.

So unfair cause he's black (kinda), definitely not unfair he's got a $114,000,000 contract though.

If I lived in Kenya or Somalia or Uganda and I believed they were unfair to white people, I'd leave. Right? I mean wouldn't everyone leave if they didn't like it? I feel like that's the common sense thing to do.

Not before he stacks that paper, knowhaimsayin?

He's free to be a piece of (*)(*)(*)(*). You have that right in this country. But for someone who thinks it's so unfair to live here, I notice he's not racing to live in Cambodia either. Ahh America, one of the few countries you can openly talk (*)(*)(*)(*) about the government and not get your head lopped off.

    Very unfair lol.

Maybe he got the Russell Wilson treatment and was being told by his black teammates he wasn't black enough, so he was trying to get his rep up.

Actually that was a CB for the 49ers forget his name. Keep in mind this is a guy the 49ers decided at the last minute to keep. Also keep in mind the Broncos were looking for Qb's heck any QB's and went for Mark Sanchez over him...

Perhaps he knows his time in the NFL is coming to a close and he wants a scapegoat.

I don't care what he does. The NFL? Whatever they do they do. Why is this a story? If you don't like what he did, stop talking about it. Just leave it alone.

The NFL fines and suspends people all the time for conduct it does not condone. Let's see what the NFL's values are.

They'll favor the radical militant Black victim-hood delusion at all costs.

The NFL already released a statement.

"Players are encouraged but not required to stand during playing of national anthem."

By that reasoning, nobody should show pride in our flag or our country, for their will always be injustice, there will always be controversy, and nobody that I know of thinks our country is perfect.

I did a quick search and read about his life. He's very religious. Different people adopt different things from their religious belief. Some learn humility and forgiveness; others become pious and judgemental. It appears to me that he is the latter. Throughout his teens and adulthood, he has lived in his athletic bubble here in the states. By contrast, there are a lot of young people close to his age who have seen places like Iraq and Afghanistan. These are places where religions are oppressed, minorities are oppressed, women are oppressed, and the respect for life is very low. If he had spent time in places like those for a couple years of his life, his perspective might be different.

We have a right to express ourselves in this country. If he wants to act this way, I don't care, but I do not respect it. I think it makes him look like a jackass, but he has the right to be a jackass if he wants.

    My two cents .... :oldman:

Brilliant! Show us how hard you have it...

Kaepernick was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Heidi Russo, a 19-year-old woman who was single and destitute at the time. His birth father, an African American, was out of the picture before he was born.[1][2][3] Russo placed her son for adoption with Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, a white couple who had two children—son Kyle and daughter Devon—and were looking for a boy after having lost two other sons to heart defects

It's not good for the brand so I find it very difficult to believe the greedy NFL is suddenly making a "principled" stand and all I'm saying is if a white quarterback had remained seated to protest the BLM movement the NFL
may have had a very different reaction.

    Indeed.

I agree Kaepernick has made himself even more redundant. Send him to Buffalo or the Jets and see how he likes the benches there.

So this guy thinks that the United States of America is responsible for black people murdering piles of themselves every day? What a dumba**. Nevermind the fact that he gets gobs of money for playing a kids game, and has more rights and priveledges than you can shake a stick at as an American. Tell ya what, I won't watch the 49ers play. To heck with em! I'm sick of these stupid anti American people.

Now that' s a very idiotic response to a story about a player who is making an equally idiotic response.
