There she goes again.

This woman is a loose cannon and should be nowhere near the Oval Office.

She can't keep anything a secret, not even our nuclear launch response times.

Hard to trust anything from a no named source. For all we know , it could be Donald Trump.

that is not confidential information, give me a break

neither one knows what the process is, only the President known, but what Hillary said is common knowledge as we know it

It obviously is - or at least was until Hillary Clinton went on national TV and divulged it. Potential adversaries don't even have to hack emails for classified information.

so are you saying this Pentagon person was confirming publicly that this logical guess by Clinton was correct? sounds like it was that republican that needs to be investigated for leaking secretes as he really knew

he must be a Trump supporter, let his mouth run without any self control

Joe Biden pointed out the guy with the "football" ( nuclear launch control) who follows him around, at a Hillary campaign appearance while bragging
about what a "responsible" candidate Hillary is (as opposed to Trump).
Made him known to everyone in attendance. Should anyone on the left be trusted?

This is not true.

Having classified material on a private unsecured server was never legal.

Stop making crap up!

Pentagon officials found themselves completely dumbfounded as to why former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would feel it appropriate to announce U.S. Special Access Program intel on national television.

According to sources within the Department of Defense, Hillary Clinton likely violated at least two Dept. of Defense SAP protocols during the debate by announcing on live television the United States Government’s response time for a nuclear launch.

It poses a direct threat to national security.

One high ranking intelligence official explained that any time frame calculated pertaining to a US nuclear launch “would have merely been an educated hypothesis, absent leaked documents and there have been no such breaches” prior to Clinton’s admission Wednesday.

“Targeting options by ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missiles), air or sea, launch order, launch procedures and response are some of the most secretly guarded tenets of national security and nuclear war policy,” a Pentagon source said.

“It’s truly incredible that (nuclear) response time as part of an ERO (Emergency Response Option) is now out there in the public domain to our adversaries.”

It most certainly is classified information. The timing and the procedure of critical decision processes is valuable information and a prime target for espionage. In fact, by tracking persons (such as the Sec of State, President, Sec of Defense, etc) physical movements and correlating it with communications, very valuable information can be determined regarding the decision making processes of national leadership. Thats another reason why Hilary's server was a huge mistake, it provided insight into the inner workings of the national leadership even setting aside the classified data issue.

Read about the OODA loop, it applies to a dogfight as well national leadership.

Donnie would literally sell that same information to the Russians. Maybe it's four minutes and maybe it's 30 seconds. The same yokels who believe the four-minute story also believed Saddam could nuke the U.S. in 30 minutes from Iraq. You know, with Scud missiles.

What are we to do with such people? —Robert E. Lee

I'll say one thing about Secretary Clinton: she's amazingly consistent in her cavalier attitude towards the handling of sensitive information.

Please enlighten me about which previous republican SOS used Bleachbit and hammers to destroy government records that were under subpoena. 'Cuz if they did, they too should be taken to court and answer for that.

It may not have been legal, but apparently if you're high enough up the food chain, you needn't worry about such things.

Is not the pentagon.

What a dishonest, desperate thread title. You should be ashamed for posting this.

And the hang time on a nuclear strike from Russia or China is still a half an hour.

Last time I checked, a half an hour is considerably longer than 4 minutes.

The supposed time span that a POTUS has to decide whether to response has been stated long ago by who I do not recall. I have heard 4 , 7 , and 8 minutes. It has also been stated that we have about 15 minutes from the time we have detected incoming Russian ICBM,s and determined that the continental US is the target to launch retaitory attacks. That means the probabke launch tine to determination point would be another 10 -15 minutes. That would be for muscles launched from Russia or Siberia. Misses launched from iff shore Russian subs is another matter. If GBritain or Western Rurope is the target we obviously have less time.

Anyone with a computer and a pretty good skill in math , being able to plot provable trajectories, can get info googling as to estimated speed of Russian ICBM,S.

Anyone with some skills and curiosity and common reasoning and sense can get a damn hood approximation of what Russian attack scenarios can be.
