Pres. Obama Says DNC Was Leaked Not Hacked

Interesting stuff here! So the President admitted that the DNC was a leak just like Assange has been saying all along, and it wasn't hacked. Is Obama fearful that Trump's new appointee's will reveal the truth and he doesn't want to be implicated? Or is he trying to get even with someone, but who?

Moon of Alabama says Obama's parting shots that the DNC E-mails were leaked were aimed at Brennan, Clapper, Clinton. Is it them, or is it aimed at others in the deep state?

So with respect to WikiLeaks, I don't see a contradiction. First of all, I haven't commented on WikiLeaks, generally. The conclusions of the intelligence community with respect to the Russian hacking were not conclusive as to whether WikiLeaks was witting or not in being the conduit through which we heard about the DNC emails that were leaked.

Umm, no, that isn't what the President said. He was answering a question about Chelsea Manning's sentence commutation and the difference between what she did - take classified material and leak it to Wikileaks vs. the DNC situation, whereby the Russians hacked the DNC and then used Wikileaks as a conduit to leak what they hacked. The MSM and most rational people understand this - which is why it isn't a "story".

The way I read that, to him it's an open question as to whether Wikileaks knew the information was coming from the Russians, not whether it was from a leaker or not.

Of course, how he thinks he knows it was from a hack and not a leak I'm unclear on, since the intelligence community never did a forensic analysis of the DNC servers.

 

So, the hacking story was just government propaganda to justify Obama's actions toward Russia.

No one ever said WikiLeaks hacked the DNC. The Russians did. They leaked them to WikiLeaks.

I don't agree with Moon of Alabama on everything, but he does post facts. Regardless it's common knowledge that Seth Rich was murdered right after the leak, and he had full access to the information. He was also a staunch Bernie Sanders supporter and was very upset with what Hillary did to him.

In addition Assange has a reward for anyone that has information on Seth Rich and has said ever since his murder people have been afraid to give him information.

Actually the truth has been out there for a few months now. Mr. Binney, formerly of the NSA for his career, and now NSA whistleblower, stated months ago the DNC scandal was leaked material, NOT hacked material.

I wouldn't be so sure that the right IS lying with regard to this. The amount of information that has been made public is pretty immense and most of it in the form of emails. A rational man will look at how Mr. Podesta's emails became public and extrapolate some causality across similar incidents. Mr. Podesta was definitely *NOT* hacked in any sense of the word. Mr. Podesta gave away the digital keys to his own kingdom and did so with the full approval of his poorly trained local IT staff who instructed him to follow the guidance of a phishing email.

You fail to recognize that the only person who benefits from the leaked e-mails is Bernie Sanders.

Sanders benefited from the resignation of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, but that wasn't enough. Unfortunately, the leaks didn't sway enough of the Super Delegates to abandon Hilliary and support Sanders.

Sanders would have beaten Trump, taking Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida and probably Ohio as well.

I am registered republican. I wanted badly to vote for Bernie but our corrupt system would not let me.

 

Then why is there a media blackout on ambassador murray who said he knows the leaker, and it was an American not Russian? This would be a news story if we had journalists, which obviously we do not. Of course as one CIA director once said, on the record, the CIA owns 90 percent of the media, and that would explain the blackout.

The Russians probably did hack and they would have been a fool not to hack into Clintons personal server given the top secret info she transmitted and received. But they didn't turn them over to assange, murray did. He knows who the leaker was, told one UK news agency, which sent MSM into blackout, and then he appeared on the only news agency that would let him talk...RT. IF murray is telling the truth, and he is known to tell the truth, then RT is one of two news outlets who were telling the truth instead of being a part of a politically driven CIA operation within America.
