This is a funny story although the woman was shot. Peachtree City police chief shoots wife http://www.11alive.com/story/news/l...achtree-city-police-chief-wife-shot/21148715/ "Investigators won't say where McCollom was injured, or what led up to the shooting, only that it occured in the couple's bedroom. Peachtree City Manager Jim Pennington says as standard procedure, the chief was put on administrative leave and the GBI asked to spear head the investigation. McCollom has been in law enforcement for nearly three decades, and the chief in Peachtree City since August." The chief obviously "feared for his life" and the St. Louis DA will cover for him doing a justified shooting. I wouldn't be surprised if his wife doesn't join the protesters against gun-crazed cops, provided she survives. Heck of a way to start out the new year.
It's hilarious because it shows that even cops' wives can't trust cops not to flip out and shoot them. So what can the average person on the street expect but a bullet from a cop's gun? As I said, if the woman survives she might join the anti-cop protesters. She certainly has reason to do so. But don't worry about the cop. The St. Louis DA will get him off.
I must have missed the part of the husband 'flipping out' and shot her while they were talking about the ongoing investigation. Who told you?
Really? Some people have a sick sense of humor. Did you think Ted Bundy was hilarious too? In Georgia?????? Wow, I want some of what you're having.
Well, I see some humor is the St. Louis, Missouri DA having jurisdiction in Georgia. Perhaps Wyrd can tell us how that works.
True.... if that's what it was. The neighbors said they never heard anything, shooting happened around 4 in the a.m. They haven't talked to the wife yet.
The guy has been a cop for about 30 years and he has had custody of guns all that time. Yet, at 4 A.M. at home in their bedroom he pulls out his pistol and plugs his wife. He's so whacked out he doesn't even know how many shots he fired. But as I said, the ST. Louis DA will see that he isn't charged with any crime.
As I said in another thread, I'm referring to all DA's who handle cop shootings as the St. Louis DA. Just like him they make a special effort to put the spin on the shootings that will exonerate the cops. The DA's job would have been easier if the chief's wife had been killed outright. Then they would have been able to put all of the blame on her for getting shot. But the chief is still getting paid!
The preponderance of the evidence in the Michael Brown case suggested that Officer Wilson was justified in shooting. Get over it and stop looking for revenge.
The only thing funny about it is that no one is actually talking about the man shooting his wife, why is that?
