Read his commentary.. He thinks its a joke first off and then he goes offtopic in this own OP. He wants this to be yet another Saint Brown thread.. Dont pretend you dont see this.
Its funny only to liberals. But thanks for illustrating that leftists are against shootings unless its a cop or.....now.....even a cops spouse.
There is nothing funny about this story and the bizarre response of some of the people here makes me wonder about what people read.
Saint Brown Thread. Its about a police chief shooting his wife and all I have heard is the usual political BS, nothing about the guy shooting his wife.
Not much to discuss at this point. "We have no leanings one way or the other at this point because we just don't know," Ballard said. "As soon as all the facts are known they'll turn over a file to our office, and we'll review to see if in fact there's been any criminal activity . "McCollom is fully cooperating with authorities, Lang said. He's the one who called 911. Margaret McCollom has not been interviewed, she said.
Since the OP states that the St. Louis DA should handle it, it clearly IS a thread about The Gentle Giant™. Unless St. Louis has jurisdiction on Georgia matters. Or, y'know - it's just a flamebait thread. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Georgia Police Chief Says he Accidentally Shot His Wife...Twice Huffington Post | By David Lohr | Posted: 01/01/2015 1:45 pm EST Excerpts: "A Georgia police chief, who claims he accidentally shot his wife twice, has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation. UPDATE: Authorities provided an update at a Thursday afternoon press conference. "The initial reports that we got from a 911 call were that the chief had shot his wife, accidentally, twice. As a result of our preliminary interview, we have found that he only shot her one time," Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Sherry Lang told reporters. Lang also said McCollom is fully cooperating with investigators. According to the Peachtree City Police Department, their chief of police, William McCollom, called emergency dispatchers Thursday morning to report he had accidentally shot his wife. Peachtree City, the largest city in Fayette County, is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Atlanta. In circumstances that remain unclear, McCollom's service weapon discharged twice and the bullets struck his wife, Margaret, Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Sherry Lang told 11alive.com. Margaret McCollom was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition. "The investigation into this incident has been turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation due to the husband of the victim being the chief of police," Peachtree City Police Lt. Mark Brown said in a press release. Calls to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation by HuffPost were not immediately returned Thursday. No additional information is available at this time. According to Brown, detectives, along with the Fayette County District Attorney, plan to hold a press conference at 2 p.m." read: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/01/01/william-mccollom_n_6404050.html ........ IMO: Another Georgia who-dun-it.....but this is the Chief Of Police saying that he had 'accidentally' shot his wife twice...which shot was the accidental one? Georgia is a seething cauldron of political intrigue, most of it republican, so we are sure to have a scandal like this in which loyal republican lawyers will defend William McCollom and use as a defense that the Chief was 'cleaning his gun' when it accidentally went off twice while his wife was in the immediate vicinity....and totally expect the citizens at large to believe it in their complete loyalty to the police chief. The only person that could dispute this summarization is in critical condition from two bullet wounds although the story has since changed to only one bullet was fired...the second bullet wound information is now in the hands of the 'cover-up' squad of the Peachtree City Police Department.
Did you see this - -Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said it's possible that charges could be filed even if the shooting is ruled an accident. What is really funny is that a liberal would offer the "WORD of God" as something special. The liberal horde hates the concept of anything like god. Pointing things out to liberals is pretty hard in here. You need to be right next to them with a pointer and someone to hold their head in the direction of what you want them to see. Then one more pair of hands to pry their eyes open.
That's a cheap shot. It doesn't matter what the politics are - an accident is an accident and the person who caused the accident should never be criticized. If that had been Obama having an accident and injuring a friend - he should not be criticized.
This is not funny at all. This is a domestic squabble that has turned bad while being all too common. Whether the person is a police officer or not does not matter. What matters is why the event happened and what casued the person to shoot their wife. there are no easy answers and there are no heroes in this, just victims which on is alive and one is dead.
Ummm.... sure don't agree w/you..... I don't know the circumstances either, but IF they got into an argument, what the hell was he doing w/a gun in his hand? A guy can't argue w/his wife and make an effort to stop the anger/disagreement w/o having a gun? IF this is what happened, he is not a victim..... and the wife isn't dead.
the point I was making is that we really don't know what happened and that the hwhole sitaution is not funny. But it appeas that you disagree with me and think it is funny. Right? Look, until we know whoat institgated the argument and why he shot her, we won't know who is at fault or not. So, I am keeping an open mind and not blaming that the person is a cop with a gun or not. Keep in mind, this happened in his home which the use and ownership of firearms must be protected at all costs, according to the NRA supporters.
WHAT is WRONG w/you liberals? WHERE did I even hint that anything about this case or disagreeing w/you was 'funny'? Where do you get this crap from? Personally, I set aside the fact that the guy is a cop, but I focus on him being her husband and she was shot in the middle of the night.... and NO, I'm NOT saying he planned this. No one knows........ I heard on the news that he said the gun was in their bed.... their BED?... and it went off and shot her in the back. That may be true - no one knows yet. What does the NRA have to do w/this?
the problem is you never read or understood what I wrote, just thought what you thought I wrote. Again, my premise was cleasr. First, the story is not funny; yet you disagreed with me. Second, we do not know all the facts, which you disagreed with me. Third, it ides not matter if the person is a cop or not, it happened in the home, which you disagree with me.
God Almighty..... unbelievable....... you poor thing. Your reading comprehension is in really bad shape...... Oh well! That's your problem, not mine. This is not worth my time. Have a good day........
