I wonder if they polled the same randoms that the anti-Trump polls choose... If so, then this number is probably higher, however, I think the Confederate statues, etc., have gained a ton of support because of all the madness we're currently seeing. As a descendant of Confederate soldiers on both sides of my family, I'd love to see them stay - especially being that they never bothered anyone prior to 2012 - not enough to make such a stink anyways. It's bittersweet to see everything that's happening to them, as I hate to see the forcing down and tearing down of them but at the same time, the left wing nonsense is causing support for the statues to strengthen.

Keep it up you intolerant, bigoted *********kers, this is exactly how Trump gained support and won.

If all were worried about is majorities, then we should prolly take Trump out of office because he wasn't the choice of a majority of americans.

What most people fail to realize is that the Confederate Monuments are not just monuments to the people who believed in slavery, they are monuments to people who initiated an armed insurrection against the American government. These are the people who led an armed insurrection to destroy America, and they should never have been put up in the first place. I understand that America has a history, but a monument should celebrate the good, not those who stood to destroy America

I have not a single doubt that these people tearing the statues down would love nothing more than to see history repeat itself, only with the races reversed.

I disagree, supporting people like Trump leaves the Electorate liking you even less. this will be proven in 2020

Their slave holding and breeding statues cost money in the town square.

the poll was of about a 1000 people, be like rolling the dice as to the results you would get with that few people polled

yes, and the people that live there should have a choice to remove them to a museum if they wish, why should they be forced to keep them cause people from other states want to force them too

they are not a issue, so not sure what your point it, your trying to downplay this.... why?

Politicians who roll over for violent radicals frighten ordinary voters.

Can you provide a link which lists any Confederate statues put up during the Civil Rights Movement?

Please see if you can find such a list; thanks.

Political violence and vandalism will always be rejected by ordinary human beings. Historical revisionism creeps people out. Politicians beware of voters.
