Agreed. Keeping firearms out of the hands of the profoundly insane should not have any effect on normal law-abiding people.

What proof do you have of that? Facts show that children who roam the streets unsupervised have a high chance of having something bad happen to them. A great many of them do not even speak English. The best place for these children is with their parents in their home country.

Would you like to see your kids run away and flee to France to live on their own?

These Mexicans are killing hundreds of people in the US. By throwing the bad ones out or not allowing them in at all is the best way of preserving life. The hypocrite is those who try to politicize this.

That fact many "pro-Lifers" are quick to turn kids back into the desert or send them back to Syria. Being anti-immigrant is, IMO, a sound political decision, but don't bullshit me by saying that anyone who does that is "pro-life".

Dude, I don't care if you want to turn back Mexican six year olds, just don't bullshit me with things like "Life is sacred" or "I'm pro-Life".

Don't you know America is a very dangerous place. They have guns here. Poor Mexican could get shot up in some school. They are much safer in the desert. Mexico does not allow Americans to come to their country and stay. Why should we be different?

Dude, "Life" is dangerous. Don't you know none of us gets out of here alive?

Now tell me you agree that it's bullshit for some people to whine "Life is sacred" then turn they turn a blind eye to human deaths.

Americans do live in Mexico, why is another topic, I am sure they have their reasons.
They sure are not safer in Mexico.

Like the US, it depends on where they are living. Are people safe in my Texas county? Yes. Downtown Dallas or Houston? No. Certain parts of Detroit, LA or NY? No. I travel to Mexico quite a bit on business and have never had a problem. OTOH, I don't go looking for trouble late at night. The same goes for any city in America.

I do believe that an attempt to take many more steps to take guns will mean a civil war, where millions will die, and our country will be physically invaded by Mexico to take their land back from the treaty of Guadalupe, and it could turn nuclear.
When I was 19 I was responsible for a squad of men, air strikes, mortars etc.
Are you saying no military service till 21? Who is going to be stupid enough to fight our wars?
60.3% of gun deaths are suicides. Japan dwarfs our percentages of suicides by 200% per annum, and no guns are available in any number.
85% of the 39.7% remainder of gun shootings/deaths are related to the drug trade or gangs. (all figures from USA today, 8-2008, weekend edition front page)
You chance of being killed in a mass shooting since 1973, are less than your being struck and killed By lightning.
If you don't off yourself, get involved with gangs and drugs, your chances of dying by gun in a country of 320 million is effectively "0". More kids die every year in car accidents driving back and forth to school than any madman killing them in a mass shooting. Is a civil war risk worth it for such numbers. Not in my book.

Less Guns in America = Less Shootings in America.
No Guns in America = No Shootings in America.
I think everyone can understand that unless they are dishonest or pretending to be stupid.

Who obeys gun laws, do criminals or gangs or schizophrenics obey the laws? Why would anyone think any new law would have any effect of these people? Taking away rights does not make us safer it only makes us a flock guarded by wolves with wolves living among us. How long before our freedom of speech is removed because it might hurt someone's feelings? Don't think for a second that speech is not in danger, if the second goes away none of the rest are safe.

The guns used in mass shootings have been around forever - why has there only recently been a recent rise in mass shooting?

Better news reporting such as live cellphone feeds and an increase in population. The population during the Civil War was 25 million. The population now is 13 times that size. If the rate of mass shootings was "X" in 1862, it could be the same rate now but still be 13 times as many.

Or it might be an intended consequence of liberalism.
