In regards to the Candidate Bonespurs reference, Trump used a doctor that lived in his father's building to write him a diagnosis that he could not serve in the draft because of a bone spur. That diagnosis was written in exchange for a benefit, according to the doctor's daughter.

LMAO.....The Week is a leftist publication.

    Here is the lefts Reality.

Democrats are trying to sell this as a reasonable compromise by claiming that this funding level represents a 17-percent cut in detention over current levels. But Trump was maintaining those levels using unauthorized funds. In other words, far from calling out Trump for illegally exceeding Congressional limits, Democrats are using Trump's detention levels as their official baseline.

So, all in all, Trump got more money for a border barrier, enhanced border security, and increased detention capacity. What did Democrats get? Absolutely nothing. Zilch. Nada......snip~

Now you know why Trump won.

Even though he didn't take part in the Negotiations between Repubs and Demos.

You have been able to figure out that Trump wasn't in those Negotiations with Repubs and Demos, correct? You can Reality that much at least, AmIRight?

Ah so much for that Jethro naught and naught of the left.

Yeah... when it's funny.... Meanwhile, the country sinks deeper into divisiveness, hatred, and confusion. Mission accomplished! Oh, and yeah, I blame both sides in this 'race to the bottom'....

And the real hell of it for me is that I cannot, in good conscience, disagree with you totally. No, I cannot. Trump has taken a perfect opportunity and just flat-out f*cked it up. I swear, that I (who am a nobody) could have given him far better advice on this entire "Wall" thing than he's ever gotten from his million-bucks-a-year consultants and "experts".

One key point of disagreement with you, though -- Trump could, indeed, declare a national emergency using his constitutional powers as President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. There is ample evidence to suggest that we are in a state of crisis -- the drugs, the crime, and MILLIONS of illegal aliens all over the damned place -- even voting in our elections and empowered to do so by the Democrat Party!

Trump could take all the necessary action, and the hyperlibs on the Federal courts couldn't do anything about it except run off to their 'menstruation hut' with their fellow sob-sisters in the ACLU and other 'migrant rights' sympathizers. Their big 'pity party' would be on all they liberal "news" media 24/7, but, it would be ineffective.

Now, rest easy -- Trump won't do that. No, not even something as intuitive as THAT.... He's failed. How else can it be stated...?

And you didn't expect CNN to point out that the Demos didn't get nothing in return did you?

In one sense he is correct when it comes to Wall/Barrier funding. But not on the part about the Demos getting nothing in return.

That may mean the world to you but to me not so much. Just another bs rationalization. 8 years of make him fail. The right collectively worked against American intrest, period. Thats because they hate America. It's an empirical standerd after a full 4 year term. You own it FOREVER.

    Oh they got something.

They got trump to essentially take all of the blame and pain for a shutdown in exchange for getting less money for his wall AND they get to say that they negotiated in good faith and acted to secure the border in a smart, effective, and bipartisan manner.

And they got to watch trump squirm and complain about failing to make any deal himself, but then being forced to accept a deal that is even worse than the deal previously offered to him by Democrats.

How do you feel about the left working against Bush, and now Trump? Obama's policies were hurting America, so the right fighting against them was pro-American. But go ahead, keep burning our flag, trashing our history, and voting for people who are chipping away at our liberty. How pro-American of you.

So like the leftist sources said.....the Demos got nothing.

As now they get painted out for skimping on border security barriers. For not negotiating in good faith and trying to be serious. For trying to take away beds so illegal children have to sleep on floors.

Then for showing the DACA people that they don't give a **** about them. Plus he showed Pelosi and Schumer don't want to be transparent. That the Demos are weak on crime committed by illegals. That they aren't serious about stopping human trafficking or drugs coming into the country. Which Trump and the Repubs will hammer home going into 2020.

Wasn't much pain for the shutdown he got a bump when he ended it. Afterall those affected were mostly leftists. So nothing to important to be concerned about.

    What exactly was the "hair-splitting"?

And more evidence the Democrats do not want a border security bill and would prefer the government to shutdown again.

Democrats Slip “Poison Pill” into Border Security Plan – That will Prevent Building the Wall
"According to FOX News Majority Leader Mitch McConnell accused Democrats of adding “poison pill” provisions into the deal. One of those provisions allows small town mayors to veto any part of a wall built in their specific jurisdictions."
    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...an-that-will-prevent-building-the-wall-video/

Since when do small town mayors get to veto matters of national security or control our national borders?

Our Customs and Borders Agents who have spoken on the record and before the committee.

I'm still waiting for the Democrats to present one expert that says otherwise even though they go around saying EVERY expert has said they do not work.

I didn't say anything about The Week. How is that relevant to anything?

The facts I laid out are accurate and easy to check. I didn't miss anything.

Mr Art of The Deal just lost bigly. After shutting the government down and inconviencing millions and costing most of them money and inconvenience, he caves and winds up with less than he started with.

Pelosi said no wall. There will be no wall. Just some fencing in a few places and some cameras, which was never under debate to begin with.

Oh, and The Week is a UK tabloid, with a US edition.

    I don't read tabloids.

Yes they did and if watch the interview with Sanders the CBS reporter even notes it. The Democrats then went down from 1.6 to 1.3 refusing to honestly negotiate and now they are inserting absurd posion bills to try to prevent a deal.

Well you mentioned gibberish and most know that's what leftists speak amongst themselves.

Actually the Demos said 1.3billion. So they added 75. So more than what they originally said.

John Kelly: Trump not building a 'wall'

“To be honest, it’s not a wall,” Kelly told the Los Angeles Times in an interview.

Outgoing White House chief of staff John Kelly says the Trump administration isn't going to build a wall. "The president still says ‘wall’ — oftentimes frankly he’ll say ‘barrier’ or ‘fencing,’ now he’s tended toward steel slats. But we left a solid concrete wall early on in the administration, when we asked people what they needed and where they needed it," Kelly said.

While Trump still does describe the barrier generally as "the wall," he explained earlier this month that the idea for a concrete wall has been replaced by "artistically designed steel slats."

“The Democrats, are saying loud and clear that they do not want to build a Concrete Wall - but we are not building a Concrete Wall, we are building artistically designed steel slats, so that you can easily see through it.....snip~

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/john-kelly-trump-not-building-a-wall

Looks like Demos also call barriers a wall.

Oh you mean until the tabloids dump on Trump.

About the same as I do the right working against Billy boy. Why do you pretend there's a difference. In any case there's a line between normal politics and the make him fail campaign. And just because you use the phrase good for America does nothing to justify the action of your party. The righties worked against American intrest no amount of smack talk on your part will fix that. YOU GUYS OWN THE THING.

Intends being the operative word. Don't count on trump signing anything after he hears people saying he got snookered again be the dems. The petulant narcissist doesn't care about his base so much as his vanity. If the dems were smart, they would can the gloating and give him the illusion of success until he actually signs it.

Well, I grew up in Southern California and had to cut through backyards on my way home from elementary school because gang members from S of the boarder threatened my life. What do you propose?
