Takes time and a party that wants to provide opportunity, unfortunately the Democrat party has proven that Black and all minorities are far more valuable as a jobless, skill-less and dependent voter then a productive Republican :)

Regressives are gonna regress. Progressives are gonna progress. You can be the windshield, or you can be the bug. History should show you which always winds up being which. [IMG]

So to you, erasing a shameful history rather than owning up to it is NOT regressive?

So you are saying the Democratic party is the progressive part of the Blacks progress over the last hundred years? Well when the left turn a blind eye and a def ear to something they are certainly something to marvel at ;)

Im waiting to see how they are going to hide the DP failure over the last 100 years.. Certainly wasn't anything to do with a few stone statues at this juncture in time ;)

Removing it from the park and putting it in a museum IS regressive?

How come Democrats lost the War on Poverty, printing all that fiat money to pay for it?

Closely read what was said. To learn about it you must go to the museum where it is stored. She does not say that same knowledge would be elsewhere, which severely limits distribution of that same knowledge. It's a scam to hide ugly truth.

I'm saying your attempt to equate 19th century Democrats with 21st century Democrats - and vice versa with Republicans - is a blatant troll and pathetic fail. Sell that bullshit to someone who hasn't studied the history. It won't help you here.

How come regressives lost the battles over civil rights, gay marriage, abortion, miscegenation, divorce, women's suffrage, prohibition, Social Security, Medicare, and every skirmish in the culture wars over the past 250+ years? One would think they can't take a hint...

Which is why New England has so many statues of George III, and no one knows who won the Revolutionary War, right?

Civil rights was a Republican passed bill.. All the others encompassed a large number of whites and that why they were reformed..

Not idolizing traitors of the USA for the right to own black people is NOT ERASING history.
They will still be in history books as traitors fighting to own black people and the traitor statues can go to a museum.

Has Nazism risen to power since there's no idolizing of Hitler?

tRUMP companies hired illegals. And when caught, just fired them. No deportation. No fines to his managers who hired them.

They are hypocrites on illegal immigration.

His statue helped me to know that terminal diarrhea is nothing to be ashamed about not owning slaves.

Except polarity - which changes everything. You know this, but you won't acknowledge this.

No, it was bipartisan - largely by geography, North vs South. It was signed into law by a Southern Democrat.

They remain in history until the generation which experienced it has died and cannot refute the future permutations, told by idiots as well as true scholars. I cite the left's historical ignorance as a group, and leftist teachers unwilling to rock boats owned by even higher-up leftists, the school administrators. "Teach history? What are you, reactionary?"

"1984" was not a how-to manual until leftists went and ran with it. They topple statues for their own abhorrent past and expect us to swallow the lie it's for the children....

We'll worry about that when Hitler is forgotten.
History books still show who the traitors are and what they started a war over.

Other nations had slavery and ended long before the USA and don't idolize the traitors and hasn't had slaver return.

I think you are just making up a false argument.
