Health expert Zeke Emanuel says 250,000 Americans could die of COVID by end of year

Does Trump and the sociopathic Republi-cons want less folks around who are on Social Security and less brown and black folks around who being disproportionately affected by the virus? Is this a form of genocide? What other explanation for the USA being the only place that refuses to get a handle on it.

 

And if he’s wrong he should have all his medical credentials revoked.

Emanuel is also a senior fellow for the left-leaning think tank Center for American Progress, and he is also on former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign task force to address the coronavirus.

The above^^ doesn't disqualify his opinion but is something that should be noted.

We're already at 135,000+ and in the middle of a spike in cases, so obviously we're going to go quite a bit higher. It does seem like this latest spike has woke some folks up so hopefully we can cap this at a lower number, possibly 160,000 - 180,000.

 

If they keep on pencil-whipping those stats, they will.

Gross incompetence in the Trump administration. When you surround yourself with sycophants and place them in jobs for which they are clearly unqualified, and you yourself are an incompetent ninny who doesn't care about Americans and wants to wish this disaster away like a child, this is apparently the mess you get.

 

I hope so too, but we'll pass 140,000 by the end of next week (and that's likely been undercounted by at least 30,000, according to CDC research on excess deaths), and we haven't even hit winter yet. 250,000 isn't an unreasonable estimate at all. There's no way we're making it out of this with under 200,000 deaths at this point.

 

I don't need to do that to understand that pencil-whipping and financial incentives have been going on since the beginning.

 

You misunderstand the "financial incentives" and excess death studies have show that, if anything, we are underestimating COVID deaths, not overestimating.

 

For anyone’s info, 250,000/800 Covid19 deaths per 1M pop equates to the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.

From the start this has been a political stunt, and the largest single indicator of that is the censorship quickly applied to dissenters within the medical profession.

Pencil whipping is an old practice of bureaucrats everywhere.

 

Whether or not you agree doesn't matter. The evidence is against you on this one. The pandemic is real, even if it offends your political beliefs.

Alright then, let’s divide 2.2 million by 4 = 550,000.....still the number one leading cause of death in the U.S.

Response; NOPE, you’re wrong! Last year, over 600,000 Americans died of heart disease.

Question; This year, how many Americans were diagnosed with heart disease, and died from Covid19 complications?

 

At present, it is the 6th leading killer in the US. Something that didn't exist last year has taken 6th position!

137,000 deaths/3.3 million confirmed cases x 100 = 4.15%

Fact; Over 20 countries currently have a per Covid19 positive death rate of less than 4.15%

In addition, approx. 3 months ago, several Trump’s loyalists denied the fact Covid19 was/is 10 times more lethal than the common flu.

60,000 common flu deaths/30 million affected = .2% x 10 = 2%, and today, they are proudly waving a Covid19 positive death rate of 4.15%, and “the lowest death rate among all Covid19 affected nations”, in quotation.

 

And if he's right will you admit Trump was wrong all along?

Wrong about what? Giving states the power since NY in not Idaho. South FL isn’t Main. Most of the deaths are in Democrat strong holds anyway. Maybe they should have taken better precautions?

 

Trump said the virus was under control. He said only 60,000 would die. So far it's double that. States that have had outbreaks have closed down, and Trump has unilaterally stalled their progress by claiming the virus is a hoax, don't wear masks and withheld aid from states unless they relented on their status as a sanctuary city. It seems like states are trying their best to take precautions, but Trump as always is playing politics with people lives.
