Is Jesus fully man and fully God, yes or no? Know what the Athanasian Creed is? Also, was Jesus resurrected bodily into Heaven, yes or no?
No. The Creed is not found in the Bible. Yes. Now that I answered your questions will you answer mine?
No, you haven't answered my questions. In fact, Jesus did ascend bodily into Heaven so he could in fact sit on the right hand of the father. And that is right there in the Bible - Father and Son, side by side.
Yes it is. I believe it just shows his insecurity. Where ever their is a post pertaining to God or Faith.....he is sure to be there.
I don't expect an answer from you, but for those playing along at home, how can anyone but God redeem you? And if it's not God, who is it? This is the problem with non-trinitarians - they badmouth Christianity and they can never give an answer for their own beliefs. They deny Christ and still call themselves Christians. I object to that.
Analysis exposes it for what it is. It's no wonder that Buddhism makes more sense. It's not unjustly self-serving to make the most intelligent assessment and recognize the flaws and shortcomings therein. Leave it untouched the way fundamentalists do? I don't mind being a heretic. I'm proud of not having the wool pulled over my eyes.[/QUOTE]
Deus est Demon inversus. God is the flip side of the devil. The violence and mayhem in the Old Testament is meant to indicate the murderous tendency of geophysics and nature. Also, metaphysically, everything dies at the end of one stage (plane) of creation in order for the next stage to commence.
I answered your questions as indicated by what you quoted of me. They were simple answers and yet you declared that I didn’t answer your questions. In return I asked that you answer my questions and you dodged them. That’s just rude. I’m willing to engage in a discussion on this subject but not if you’re gonna play dodgeball. Go back, review my questions put to you. Answer them and then we can proceed.
Not playing dodgeball at all, I am trying to understand where you think your redemption is from, if you think you are redeemed. I thought we were past the question and answer period.
You’re dodging again. It’s fair play to reciprocate when questions you ask are answered. We can proceed when you answer mine. Then I will address the redemption matter.
I object to that too but I understand the parable of the "wheat and the tares". Understand there has been religions such as "Christian Scientists" for example. They have always called themselves Christians. "Godlike in form but they deny the power thereof". Believers cannot get hung up on the name "Christian". It is only a contemporary term given to the "Body of Christ" by outside observer's long ago. This is a deeply spiritual battle and we deceptions cannot distract us. The "Body of Christ" transcends both Religion and Nations!
The problem is that other people are deceived by it. I have an old friend who is a Mormon and if you believe there are eternal consequences for worshipping a false Christ it becomes very important.
I understand. I live in a community founded by Mormons. You won't convince them they aren't Christian. All you can do is present them with the true Gospel in contrast with their own. Eternal consequences are not our burden. Presenting the Gospel in it's true form is.
So you scour the worlds religions, takings pieces from each, weave the pieces together and pull THAT over your eyes? Nothing in life is perfect. I see the Bible like I see my non religious Parents...calloused, faulted, sacrificial, contradictory, mysterious, burdened, laborious and imperfect. But the love shines thru in spite of it all. In fact, their imperfections make the good they do, all the richer.
RE: Miscellaneous Thoughts About God SUBTOPIC: No Thought About a Deity is Miscellaneous ⁜→ Gelecski7238, et al, BLUF: So you are saying that the Supreme Being: ◈ Is NOT Omnipresent – ◈ Is NOT Omnipotent – ◈ Is NOT Omniscient – ◈ Is NOT Just, Merciful, and Compassionate – (QUESTION) Then what is the difference between the Supreme Being and any other lifeform? Most Respectfully, R
The pieces come together very nicely when they are the ones that make the most sense and involve the most amount of consistent evidence. As the saying goes, you can't choose your relatives. I don't have to tolerate and accept the excessive faults in the Bible.
Difference in degree, not necessarily to the extent and extremes of perfection, and not limited to 4-dimensional physicality. How did God get to be God? Probably a lot like the way everything else progresses.
RE: Miscellaneous Thoughts About God SUBTOPIC: No Thought About a Deity is Miscellaneous ⁜→ Gelecski7238, et al, BLUF: There are so many possibilities to ponder. (RHETORIC) The characteristics and powers associated with the Supreme Being are "dependent" on the accepted definition of the Being. The First Oration of Solomon is a prayer to the Supreme Being. The first stanza from the Keys or the Ars Notoria • The Notory Art of Solomon Reads: (As translated by Robert Turner in 1657 from the remnants.) The Alpha and The Omega! Oh Almighty God, The Beginning of all things, Without a Beginning and Without an End, Graciously this day hear my Prayers,,, Render forgiveness unto me for all my sins, and inequities, O Lord my God, with your compassion, which is greater then all things visible and invisible, Have mercy upon me, While the oration is much longer, in the prayer, King Solomon asks the Supreme Being for "knowledge:" O God the Creator, confirm and grant this my Prayer, and increase and strengthen my Understanding, and Memory, to know and receive the Science, Memory, Eloquence, and Perseverance in all manner of Learning, The prayer asks for knowledge and wisdom more than once, but not wealth or power. Back in my younger days, when I studied the Ars Notoria and the Keys of Solomon, I was not concerned with the ascription of false names of authors to works, but the content and intentions as o the perceptions man held of the Supreme Being. And not whether the Supreme Being real. I was reaching back to common imagery outside the dogmatic teaching of the Septuagint + Vulgate or other religious contamination. Most Respectfully, R
We have EVIDENCE for the existence of lifeforms but NONE whatsoever for the existence of an IMAGINARY "Supreme Being". That DIFFERENCE of EVIDENCE exists and therefore it requires duping oneself into BELIEVING that there is an IMAGINARY deity. Hard factual evidence versus self delusion.
