We absolutely have enough for gridlock. Plus the courts are on our side thanks to Trump. This is satisfactory for now.

The voters are fickle. The grass is always greener on the other side, they always perceive things can be "better". They almost always vote for the opposing side in mid terms. The genius of the two party system is the powers that be that control both parties will always retain power, as there is only two parties to bounce back and forth to. seven or eight parties would be difficult for elites to stay powerful with, but with two parties its easy. Just keep the people's vote bouncing back and forth between the two parties, and mercilessly crush anyone outside the two parties that tries to run. Control the two parties and you control everything. It's all owned by the MIC and major corporations. Votes and whichever party wins is irrelevant.

    Oh I see…….

In 2016, the strong popular vote won by Clinton was due to “millions of illegals in California”. In 2020, the overwhelming popular vote won by Biden was only due to ‘fake ballots’…

But now, suddenly the popular vote is to be embraced…?

    How embarrassing…..

Not with Ben Shapiro and others promoting the idea that we have a bad candidate problem and that we need more establishment republicans in order to win.

The republican party has been losing for a long time. And somehow because we didn't win as good as we should have, we have a candidate problem. No. It's a problem with the history of the republican party and them never having any real plan to fix anything. They run on democrats being worse instead of offering real solutions and promoting those solutions so that the public can hear them.

One of the things I notice online is how many Republicans just point blank won't consider that their policies might need to change (unless they are arguing they are not right wing enough). There is definately a core of people who simply won't accept that they might be wrong & the party might need to look at what non-GOP voters want. That is a lot of the motivation behind people who support gerrymanders, removing the vote from millions of people etc. It is also part of what drives the false election fraud narratives.

Beyond trying to end abortion and any sort of teaching about racism or gender diversity it can be hard to actually find policies. They talk a lot about fiscal discipline, but seem incapable of actually doing it. Maybe throw in tax cuts for the rich as a sort of standing policy. Most of the rest just seems to be the political equivalent of one of those dishevelled folk you occasionally encounter who are angry at something or someone who isn't there.

I guess we are too used to political parties laying down solid platforms and sticking to them.. The GOP seems to have put all the money on trying to scare people with made up nonsense about “Critical Race Theory” and “Gender reassignment”

Notice how those two stories just went stone cold?

Crt is very much an issue for people to be concerned about. It’s racist and very much active in school.

I wouldn’t say afraid, but concerned is very fair.

though I do find it genuinely interesting how people think this isn’t an issue but white supremacy is? Despite it being virtually extinct.

You are 3000% right here. Conservatives speak a good game about 'limited government, but because of various screwups of all kinds dating back literally to the 1950's, the people have become more dependent on the government and the social safety net has been absolutely shattered. It's no longer enough to say "I'm from the government and I know I can't help you."

The message the people need to hear is "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you help yourself." We need to fix our broken safety net system, our broken medicaid/medicare system, SS looking to be bankrupt by 2032.

What has Democratic America been since 1970? She's endured stagflation, four depression states(Mid-1980's, late-1990's, 2009-2012 and now 2021-present.), her education system has collapsed and now the leading government's singular campaign issue is to save 'democracy'.

Well to start, how about regaining the US Energy independence that was just hard fought won in 2019?

I think that’s because the progressive philosophy looks forward and has dreams for the future while the reactionary philosophy looks backward and complains.
The reactionaries win only if they scare enough people.
And, obviously, the progressive philosophy will make mistakes, but that’s how we learn and progress.

Dreams without a plan is otherwise known as 'wishful thinking' which actually perfectly describes the democrats and the left-hemisphere of the brain. Wishful thinking. It's that right cortex of rational planning that saves us from going off a cliff, or at least making sure the plans work.

Peak clown world when people like you deride the people who had the balls to storm the beaches of Normandy.

You know your society is finished when an entire generation pretends to be unable to differentiate between a man and a woman in order to comply with the wishes of power mad elite monsters. I hope the great sort accelerates. Florida is becoming the Promised Land.

That is what Kent Rollins does, more like dutch oven cooking on the Big Bertha, among other things. It is that cowboy flavor that makes his videos interesting such as "that much butter there and just about that much milk." I am not sure if he is on TikTok, but he is on YT.

But that is not what the voters wanted. The GOP house will simply have investigation over the investigation, with nothing serious legislation being done.

There are still a lot of outstanding votes so it's too soon to call the vote count and I sure as hell don't take John Solomon's word on anything. If you go to the cook site right now it's narrowed some more. Right now republicans have 51.7% Which just about corresponds to a 2 seat advantage in the house and that vote will probably narrow even more and that sure as hell is not a red wave--a bubble bath at best--which represents the best midterm performance of a president in many decades. So if you think your performance on the right is something to be proud of you are deluded

And I find it funny you are currying favor with the popular vote but when you lose it during presidential races you poo poo it. Y'all really need to make up your mind

Florida is a retirement mecca, as it sucks up the bright red elderly voters everywhere else turns blue.

Also, I do not “deride” the people that serve their county — I do however when they suck their country dry and then wish to make it harder on future generations because they have already gotten theirs.

The world will be a better place when they no longer influence it.
