So then you have 50 different “ideas” for the direction and safety of the nation ?

All due respect, but the power of the federal government reset WITH the states already. But distributing leadership and guidance to 50 different states means nobody will cooperate and end of the republic

YES! I don't give a DAMN what your ideas are for the direction and safety of the nation. In fact, I consider people with your worldview my existential enemy and the greatest existential threat to ever face America. IMHO, you want to kill me and mine. Letting people like you have power over me is therefor completely unacceptable. The only way to keep people with your worldview from destroying my communities and my states, is to remove your ability to do so. The only way to do that is to gut federal power. I have no interest in forcing my worldview on you. It is the control freaks of the left who want to force their worldview on me and use federal guns and my federal tax dollars to do so. No thanks.

Then why do completely urban areas still have jacked up congressional districts? Why can't they just draw some squares of equal population and call it good? I'll tell you; because they don't want a fair and unbiased election ("they" meaning the party bosses on both sides).

So let's do the math here:
Republicans got 51.2 percent of the popular vote nationwide (according to your link)
And they will probably end up with 222 seats in congress. 435 times .512 = 222,72
So pretty much an EXACT reflection of the popular vote. How do you call these results incongruous?

Oh, wait I know. The party that is used to winning presidential elections with an overwhelming minority of the popular vote, the party that gets a complete overrepresentation in the senate (in 2016 while winning the popular vote by 6 million votes in terms of votes cast for senator they ended up in the minority in the senate), the party that has over the last twenty years egregiously gerrymandered several states feels that it is their god given right to rule through minority feels that getting JUST the seats that completely reflect the voting of the nation is like being robbed.
    Too funny.
    AH DB

Of course, were it not for the fact that Florida gerrymandered succesfully, and New York did not, we would be looking at a democratic congress. It just so happens that gerrymandering evened out during these elections (california and massaschussetts made up for Florida and Wisconsin). So dumb luck gave us a congress that reflects the popular vote. I don't know why you are bellyaching that you didn't get more representation, you got the exact majority that the popular vote dictated.
