911 call from Lauren Boebert's home followed incident involving Congresswoman's husband and son

None of them has ever called 911 to report being abused.

The Boeberts don't have enough guns to protect their children.

 

I have three as well. Never had this scenario either. However as a kid I was thrown around a house, punched, ripped pants pockets from being used as handles to grab me when I ran, hit with the pointy end of cowboy boots while being curled up in a fetal position, whipped with a horse whip over my butt.


Sounds bad right? It really did happen. But what that story doesn’t tell you is about the time ran away, or when I swung at my mom for hitting me, or pushing her while pregnant just for yelling at me, or getting kicked out of school multiple times for fighting, picking on kids who didn’t deserve it. Normal school wouldn’t even let me in. I had to go to something called “School Within A School” where they wouldn’t let me associate with most kids. Those butt kickings I got we’re deserved. They helped shape me into a more respectful person and one who made it further than most my siblings economically.

we have become too lenient on kids and I credit that for the problems with kids anymore.

 

This is child abuse.
Using them for political gain.

not to mention that if I were to have called the cops they likely would have been on my side although the horrible things I done deserved harsh reactions. That’s a problem in society today. Punishment should be levied at levels adequate to the bad action. If I didn’t learn consequence for being a violent kid I would have continued on. I was a horrible kid and now as an adult I feel bad for my actions. However when feelings didn’t stop me as a kid the butt kicking made me think twice until I developed emotion for those actions.


All I’m saying is this is only half the story. So no… I won’t judge until the full story comes out.

 

There’s no need, or excuse,for a rational adult to be physical with a child. You can’t teach self control with a lack of self control.

 

I credit my scenario for keeping me out of jail and succeeding in life. As a kid I put another kid in a hospital one time as well. Trust me, there are times kids deserve it. I deserved everything I got. My actions as a kid would have made you think sometimes it is necessary.

My parents now almost come to tears when we talk about those days. But I stop them and remind them of the regretful things I done to induce those reactions. What would have I turned into if they had not done that to punish me? Really think about it. If a kid thinks they can do that and be protected while doing that with nothing but a slap on the wrist what kind of adult would I have turned into?

Serious child abuse is a real issue, and it is not hard to prove, usually with the testimony of a radiologist.
Hysterical teenage boys are too common these days, but they are not a serious problem. He will probably grow up and out of it, but he certainly abused himself by making the 911 call.

What you’re describing is indicative of a lack of appropriate discipline and training early on and all along the way. No, I don’t think I will “trust” you.

Yep, very common for abuse victims to recant, especially when your mama is Boeboe and your son already called 911 hysterical.

 

I think Boebert is a joke and a moron, but I get no satisfaction when stories like this are publicized as a way to attack her. I felt the same way about Sarah Palin(another person that is a joke and a moron) when her family's domestic issues were in the news. Hell, other than than the areas where it may breach into campaign finance fraud(like hush money payments), I don't even really care to hear about Trump's infidelities or any marital problems he may be having. I don't need those things to oppose him. I even wish those were the only things that one could even oppose him on. Then he wouldn't be such a dumpster fire.

 

That is true. However, I DO have a problem with people like Boebert that campaign on "family values" and the sanctity of marriage, etc, in their quest to attract evangelical voters, and to demean LGBQT, and then they are shown as total hypocrites because their own marriage is in shambles.

 

You're not wrong, but hypocrisy is too universal to be something you can base a specific criticism on. It's like Al Gore and all his Save The Environment stuff and yet he flies around on private jets all the time. It doesn't make him wrong about what he's saying, it just makes him a hypocrite. And while I don't agree with much of anything Boeberts says, what she says isn't wrong just because of her seeming lack of family values. If it's wrong, it's wrong because of other more objective reasons.

It's why I think of stuff like this as tabloid fodder at best.

Lauren Boebert was in the same room. Kid probably knew to watch his mouth for fear of what his mother would relay to the dad.

Child abuse does not equate to"domestic issues"
When you pass or want laws passed to align with your so-called Christian beliefs on marriage and child reraising and tell parents how they should raise their kids all bets are off.
An online videos from her son shows firearms laying around her bedroom.
Most deaths occur in homes that have firearms,there's a drunken father and a house full of guns and all it takes is for one kid to have had enough if they are being violently abused by a parent..

This is the sicko who praises teen pregnancies.
