I have three generations of family that proves you wrong. Starting with mine that was horribly abused, my sons that was rarely physically disciplined and my grandchildren who have never been spanked and only been lovingly guided. My grandchildren are by far the most well adjusted, happy, congenial people I’ve ever had the pleasure to be around. It’s a lot more work for my son and daughter-in-law and takes a lot more involvement but the dividends are priceless.

When I see children being physically disciplined I see parents that aren’t actively involved in raising their children.
