You know, it would be great if more neighborhoods could do that. It can be very nice to negotiate services too!

Here is set up by kommuns...we decide on our power company, trash collection etc. Instead of property tax we pay "rent" to our kommun. We elect our kommun board and we get monthly statements on our budget and expenditures. We all have cable, power, trash collection etc paid for as a kommun and we take bids from companies and vote each year on who to use. We have kick butt internet and are going to upgrade to 100mb! We can download FAST!

We also have a laundry room (you sign up for 3 hour blocks, huge machines), a gym and we built a new play ground last year and did some additional landscaping. We even decide on parking!

Next month I am going to the meeting to ask for more benches...I noticed many of the older people around here could use some more. They like to walk but need some breaks. Plus benches are cute.

Ours isnt as personal really, but it is quite functional! I do like the gym and I use the laundry room for big blankets etc. But I have a washing machine so I dont use it much...of course it would be great if the machine breaks down!

Ah well, what can I say. I can praise your calm and courage to deal with theses issues. Props to you.

Yeah, isn't it a bit fubby that some posters feel safe and secure to tell a blatant lie about women, as an off-topic comment in a random thread, but when it becomes the subject of a specified thread, such as yours, they run away with their tails tucked inside.

Oh I didnt know you guys lived somewhat "commune style"! Thats very cool.

You have carved out your own slice of the world!

We have attempted to be anti-social, but its failing. LOL. We made friends with a couple down the street when we took their dog because they had a premature baby and needed to both be at the hospital with the baby. They are very nice though. My husband helps the older lady next door a lot and she loves him and brings us cookies.

I usually try to keep distance from neighbors...but its not working out. I hope it doesnt backfire on us at some point!

Although, I think I would rather enjoy your set up....I never lived in a situation like that nor can I think of any time an oppurtunity to do so arose. Its great you guys created one!

Actually the attacks started on Ferris from what I could see. But the thread had run on long enough and there were numerous personal attacks going back and forth. The thread died a natural death.

WOW gave up the ding dongs??? That must be hard! You can do that chocolate tofu thing with fake sugar (I dont normally reccommend fake sugar but if you have high sugar it may be a good idea and will help you get your chocolate fix).

I probably do drool, but since our dog is king of drool...its all good. It just blends in! Seriously...no one could ever out-drool Buddha! I have to feed him fast because I can HEAR the pool being created by his drool. I have to mop EVERY SINGLE DAY....so my drool cant compete.

I think he was worried and they had to stick some instrument up my nose...and they wouldnt knock me out first. OHHHHH that was HORRIBLE. He said he never saw me look so scard as I did then.

BTW, I find it rather creepy how many men view rape as so "natural" and as something women actually WANT or SEEK. There are some really beautiful people in the world...and then there are some very ugly ones. I never get used to the ugly ones...but I should be by now!

I was a wino 2 yrs in E. St Louis down on skid row.
      6 months in rehab.

Guess, that's why I developed this natural high to fight the demoms as you say.

Well I'm glad you are felling better .

I very seldom get completely clear headed I find it fogs the mind. lol

I thank you for katie's E-mail Are you sure she wouldn't mind taking a look at my work?

I gotta tell you the way I write is anything but professional, so I wouldn't want to waste her time.:sun:

You have a great relationship. I am glad you have such appreciation for that. Its better to laugh at your new difficulties than it would be to lament over them. I think you are perfect for each other because you both seem to naturally gravitate towards a humorous pragmatism.

Thats a quality that made me fall for the hubby. He can make me laugh when I am mad or whiny. He is never afraid of me. He helps me have a proper perspective...or at least better perspective.

you are doing really good on the smoking...I know how hard it is. Changing so many life habits is no easy task. You just have to appreciate every single time you make a good decision....every time you put a healthy food into your mouth, everytime you want to light up but you dont...because everytime has an effect.

Sweden doesnt sell much over the counter drugs either...just nose spray but that can make the problem WORSE and did when I first moved here. I ended up so congested unless I used the spray....I was addicted within a week or so. I had to go to the hospital for that. They gave me a shot of something that cleared me up and I finally slept and my sweet husband sat by my bedside all night and didnt sleep! Leave it to me to get a nose spray addiction! So now I was told to NEVER use them.

Sweden is brutal in some ways. They really do expect you to just suck it up and deal with discomfort...I am now used to it but I still whine. People here get stuff from finland and thailand etc. I get nyquil shipped from the US and a workmate of mine has family in the US and she also gets us shipments (we split stuff). I do have some benadryl and tylonal left (nyquil is gone!).

How is the eating going....able to eat a bit better? How many ding dongs are you down to daily?

I'm cool you sound like you are in a good mental state.

      Great to be alive huh?

I developed a natutal high when I left rehab, some years ago it would take a lot to get me down.lol.,lol

Well pain is in the brain. I have heard of the phantom pains and they are very real. It sucks that you think getting rid of your legs will get rid of your leg pain and the leg pain ends up worse! UGH!

I dont have to worry about the pill access now...I am pretty healthy and Swedish doctors dont like to give you any sort of meds unless absolutely neccessary. They wont even give you antibiotics until they feel sure its bacterial and not viral. Meds for symptoms..not so much. They tell you to just deal with it.

My husband never seeks anything for symptoms..he is used to "sucking it up". I am american and want to RUN for the drugs when I feel any discomfort! I have tried convincing the doctors it was my cultural right...that didnt work.

I am a baby...no doubt about it. When my nose is stuffy, I demand something to help it. The stuff they prescribe you here does NOTHING. I swear its baby aspirin. I cant sleep with a stuffy nose and they tell me to just deal with it, drink water and breath through my mouth. WHAT??!!?? Oh those are fighting words when I dont feel good!

In my first year here I told the doctor that not giving me anything for symptoms felt like a violation of my human rights...HE LAUGHED (he thought I was kidding). My husband had to drag my sick whiny butt out of there. I dunno, I go mental when I am in pain and discomfort.

When I had my son (notice I only did that once)...I was EPIC. Oh the things I said, the names I called the doctor...I also kicked her in the face TWICE! I was not very nice. Lucky for me, she was very very nice and had 2 kids of her own. I became sane by the next day and said I was sorry to her.

Obviously you are made of stronger stock than me....I would be throwing quite a tantrum if I had your pain. I admire your sturdy good nature!

Well many of the drugs around now (prescription kind) are rather strong! Plus you are taking other things and that can make you more sensitive as well.

I am very sensitive to any sort of speed or uppers...I ZOOM on very little. But pain killers and depressants...I can take a lot and be awake still (feeling good, but awake). I like good pain killers so I avoid them...I think I am the type that would get addicted.

When I was 8 months pregnant I had a kidney stone...they gave me some demeral and something else (cant remember what) and I was sooooooo high! I remember the nurse came in about 30 minutes after giving it to me and jumped because I startled her...she was sure I would be knocked out. I told her I wasnt going to waste that fun high!! hehe

You should get one of those things that you can keep your daily pills in so you dont mix anything up....very easy to mix em up.

My day is going well but I miss my dog and hubby and kid....the hubby wont be home til late tonight. He has to do some clinical work at the animal hospital and the dog is staying overnight at the in-laws. The son has thai boxing....I am not used to this kind of free time. I usually have all 3 needing something from me LOL!

      WHAT DO I DO??? EEEK

      HUGS!

of course they don't. They are too busy pounding their pimply adolescent chests to get a clue. Vanek was, according to his recently changed profile "a Jedi Knight" when I looked this morning. It's been changed now. Ferris suffers from the short man's syndrome combined with being an attention whore. His thread to the mods complaining about his treatment in your thread is a perfect example. He has claimed a half dozen times that "he is through with your thread" and yet he's still there, craving attention. Riordan is a sock puppet based on his join date and number of posts. Skanky is just a tool. These boys are all pathetic neo-misogynists, probably virgins, who are hung up on "rape fantasies".

Good morning Del, I see junior is still at it. An observation from looking closely at his profile pic is that he suffers from the "Short Man's Syndrome."
