I didn't see the beginning of the game, but I assume, the unis were some sort of combo retro thing. I would hope so, for their fans sake at least.
I just heard on ESPN that those are their new unis. They better win, looking like that. I think those are their home unis, the game last night was at Maryland.
I agree this year, the top of the SEC is LSU and Bama. Florida may have a good season thanks to Charlie Weiss on offense but it won't be an SEC championship season.
Funny joke I heard this morning... What's more embarrassing for the Catholic church these days - the clergy molesting it's youth or Notre Dame football?
Ugliest uni ever. What in the hell was that? I noticed the cross on the side of the helmet but what were the other markings? Isn't their mascot a Tarpan? A turtle?
Missouri at Arizona St. tonight. Hmm...UM is ranked, but ASU is not!? I really like the Sun Devils to win this game, maybe even to cover the line(-9).
The rankings are pretty much meaningless 2 weeks into the season. It's just a guessing game at this point.
Yea, I know, but I'm just a little surprised that ASU isn't ranked. They are nearly a double digit fav tonight.
Well, ASU won at home but they didn't cover. Hopefully you didn't lay any money down on them. Not many big match ups this weekend. Hopefully Penn St can make it a game with Alabama.
No, I don't gamble. But even after all these years - it's been 25 or so years since I've quit - I'm still drawn to betting odds & such. It's interesting to note that ASU openned up as a 6 point fav & then the line shot up to 9. I wouldn't have wanted to even been given 6 when that game went into OT. I don't know what the line is, but I wouldn't put my hard earned cash on Penn.St. against Alabama. Let's at least hope for a good game.
#12 SC pulled out a 3 point win. Makes BSU look better considering they dominated them. Georgia should have won, but too many mistakes. They outperformed them on offense, but you can't give up 3 TD's by fumble, INT and fake punt and win.
Looks like Big 12 is done, OU and OSU applying for PAC 12 membership and Texas reaching out to the ACC. Meanwhile, Boise's tennis program commits NCAA violations so what do they do? Take away 9 schollies from football. Meanwhile Cam looks for a six figure payout and Auburn plays in the title game. But no, the NCAA doesn't have a bias.
I like the 2 okies in the Pac 12. That will make for good Rose Bowl possibilities. I also like Texas going to the ACC. Then, there is another side of me which feels that you should try to keep your teams as local as possble and the okies and texas in the same div as other nearby teams reduces logistic headaches, allows parents and friends the ability to travel to games and keeps the revenue more local.
Would absolutely love to see Mississippi St. knock off LSU! I think they can do it, but need to play better than last week.
Hey, I'm just being hopeful. I do believe it "could" happen. The line is only 4, give or take, so the book doesn't expect a blowout. There won't be any fear in MSU's eyes.
Wow, Boise St really runs an outlaw program. They lose 9 schollies because they let freshmen arrive on campus early. They may have even gotten a free Bi Mac!! Oh no's, the horror! http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/46948/boise-state-gets-ncaa-penalties
It has to Notre Dame football. LSU and Bama look good...up north Wisconsin looks pretty good so far. As far as Auburn being lucky...they were lucky all last year.
The Hat needs to let Jarret Lee open up a bit. They aren't going to continue to get away with not throwing the first 2 quarters.
