For one reason or another, I find all these matchups today, intriguing: Michigan State at Notre Dame Tennessee at Florida Texas at UCLA West Virginia at Maryland Washington at Nebraska Northwestern at Army Arizona State at Illinois Ohio State at Miami (FL) Syracuse at USC Oklahoma at Florida State Utah at Brigham Young Stanford at Arizona Pittsburgh at Iowa Auburn at Clemson Colorado State at Colorado
for about 3 minutes, (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). Sooners on top by a touchdown....7 minutes remain. LET'S GO NOLES!
The Irish finally get off the shnied. Tennessee expected fail against the Gators. Texas looks pretty good again, destroying a team they're expected to beat. Good win for W.Va., but unfortunately, I don't see them beating LSU. Not impressed with 'Huskers. Yea, Army wins, Army wins!!! ASU & Illini.? Blah. What happened to the Buckeye "O"? I thought maybe the Orange were making progress as a program - I guess not. Rock 'em sock 'em game! Ya wonder if the FSU QB didn't get hurt, "If... What the heck happened to BYU? Stanford sustained a lot of injuries - but I don't think they have enough team speed to hang w/ LSU, Ala or even Ore. The usual from Pittsburgh, football or basketball, underachievement. Auburn still has a great offense - not so good on the "D" though. I was hoping CSU would beat CU - dang it.
Oklahoma University now 2-0. We're going to the game at Norman this coming week-end; playing Missouri. Go Sooners!!!!
I just read this article at CBS Sports. It seems that Missouri has a tentative offer to join the SEC if and when the Big-12 Conference implodes. That would supposedly put Missouri, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole' Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Alabama in the SEC West. Auburn would move to the SEC East and join Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. When this realignment is all said and done, I wonder which conference will get Kansas and Kansas State?
Watched alot of the game. The Terps made too many mistakes & played poorly defensively early. Nice comeback, but too much of a hole to climb out of. The unis were an improvement, though.
The Pac 12 decision yesterday may help save the Big 12, or not. Maybe the Big 12 & Big East unite or KSU & KU may end up in the Mountain West. It'll be interesting.
Wow. I know the Temple Owls are a much improved team than when they were a laughing stock a few years back, but for Maryland to not even be competitive in this game, is quite stunning and quite disappointing for their fans.
Who's with me rooting for Texas to knock off Oklahoma? (...Okay, so it might not happen, but here's hoping it does!) Oh, great win for Air Force last week over Navy! Now, I'd love to see them beat Notre Dame, but I also don't think that'll happen either. But let's go Falcons!
Boise State stomped Colorado State: 63-13 It made my day as I slept most of the day away...long last few days between hunting, Kappa Sigma, and Masons.
Jones, the OU QB could not get it done under the pressure of being behind and time ticking away. What would he be like facing an LSU or BAMA defense all game long? I know OU is a good team but never of the caliber of the top 2 SEC teams. Sadly, the best game will be Nov 5th. That game should be put off until Jan and let the 2 best teams play for the championship. Why punish a team because they are in the same division of the same conference? What will we get instead, BSU (heaven forbid), Stanford or Clemson? Sure, all OK teams but the 2 best teams should play each other for the championship OU is not of that caliber
they should postpone the game until January. Let the 2 best teams in the nation play for the championship rather than an intra-conference game
The SEC is against a playoff so they get what they deserve. Boise was one of the best teams last year and didn't get to play. If they play this year despite not being one of the best it will make up for last year. That said they won't get a chance, they lost a lot from last year and will have a close game or two to keep them down in the ratings. OK St or Stanford will get in the final game instead. I also don't know about "never" the caliber of the top two SEC teams. As recently as last year several teams were better than the second best SEC team.
Here are the current standings in the BCS rankings: 1 - LSU 2 - Alabama 3 - Oklahoma State 4 - Boise State 5 - Clemson 6 - Stanford 7 - Oregon 8 - Kansas State 9 - Oklahoma 10 - Arkansas 11 - Michigan State 12 - Virginia Tech 13 - South Carolin 14 - Nebraska 15 - Wisconsin 16 - Texas A&M 17 - Houston 18 - Michigan 19 - Penn State 20 - Texas Tech 21 - Arizona State 22 - Georgia 23 - Auburn 24 - Texas 25 - West Virginia
LMAO you funny guy do you actually believe what you typed or are you trying to convince yourself Is Mr's Greene's school for the deaf and blind on BSU's schedule this year again? oooo, BSU played a GA team which no true SEC fan beleived was even close to being a top 10 team or even top 25 team At the outset we knew that LSU and BAMA were formidable and the Hawgs have surprised us now, Hawgs vs BSU would be a more fair game wit the Hawgs ultimately just grinding down BSU because they are used to playing in the SEC west. BSU vs an LSU or Bama would be like the 2 years in a row putting Ohio state against FL and LSU Everyone expected OSU to win and weren't being fair to the fans, students and players themselves. They were conparing a Big 10 record against an SEC record. BSU ios in the same boat. You can't play the local High School JV football teams every week, win by big margins and think you belong running with the big dogs. Nov 5th= the only game worth watching all year unless they play again in January if you want to watch the best teams play, then mark your calendar
