After watching two games during Sunday afternoon, I got my fill of NFL football. So did everybody else.

Another gem of a game with KC winning 27-23.

    QB Mahomes 304 y & 1 TD.
    Kareem Hunt 121 y & 1 TD.

    Royce Freeman 67 y & 1 TD.
    Phillip Lindsay 69 y & 1 TD.

Large and very loud crowd in tonight's game.

    KC WINS!

    Beats the -3.5 Spread.

    Won 27-23. Money.

That was one scary game. But it was a good test for Mahones. I'm happy to see this kind of game early in the season and also a W against an AFC West member is always sweet

Great win, but KC showed their vulnerability on defense. The tape from this game will be viewed by all of the AFC.

Let's see if KC makes adjustments.

I'm actually worried that they will study Denver's game plan and figure out how to disrupt the offense. Their defense is a known liability. If we crash and burn most likely we'll point to the defense.

I don't see KC crash and burning. Good coach, good QB, great weapons.

But the defensive vulnerability was checked. I think they will adjust.

Both of Brady's picks in that game were a result of Hogan and Gronk literally throwing balls to the defenders, lol.

That said, Welcome to New England, Flash Gordon. No longer can teams double cover Gronk.

    And welcome back JE11

Last year several critics said the NFL was "dying" as tv viewership and attendance was taking some kind of drastic drop. This attributed to right wing reaction to Kaepernick's patriotic actions which are so hated by those anti-USA members of the radical far right.

Such fantasies are without basis as tv ratings are actually going upward:

NFL continues its year-to-year gains on NBC

NBC's Sunday Night Football telecast was up year-to-year for the fourth straight week in preliminary numbers: It averaged a 12.4 household rating in metered markets, a 17 percent bump versus the same night in 2017. The Texans-Cowboys game was on par with last week's 12.3.

Kudos to this great league and its millions of patriotic fans.

Very impressive. Not to mention, he broke the record with a massive TD pass.

    Congrats to him

Way too easy (only a -5.5 spread) for a Monday night game.

He has 499 tds, and they left him in for one more drive to see if he could get 500, but that'll have to wait.

If I were a betting man I absolutely would have taken that.

Redskins are always awful as long as Dan Snyder is in control.

    Hell yes.

Especially if you were some guy who lost his wad on Sunday and was going for a big Double or Nothing bailout game to dig yourself out of a Sunday hole.

    Easy money!

Two big injuries on offense. However no one can stop Gurley. The Rams are a force to be reckoned with. They play the Chiefs this year. That should be a good game

Seems like Brees's success has been rather quiet compared to other QBs. I don't see him in commercials or making other forms of headlines like others do. Still, his record of success is just awesome.

It is on Monday Night in Mexico City, can you imagine if both of them are undefeated at that point?

Of course. He's one of the greats, no argument there. However the issue is, a pass-heavy team is easy to study on tape. The Saints now have a team with a great run threat, which makes Brees more of a scare. The play-action then comes into effect (as we saw last night).

In the past, the reason the Saints lose big games is because good teams understand the need to back off in coverage. Which is why he's struggled when it truly mattered (obviously excluding his SB victory).

Now, it should be interesting with this established run game. With Ingram back, this could be a deep run. The NFC is loaded though

Based on breaking the passing record last night, I have to wonder if it’s possible for Drew Brees to eclipse 80,000 passing yards before he retires.
