Um.... well... what can you say to this other than, you certainly put a lot of stock into believing what you've seen or read in your media. TX isn't out of, or getting close to being out of beds in hospitals. What is being purposefully misreported are hospitals who are taking on all of the unmet medical needs of folks who couldn't have operations or other procedures while the lockdowns were in effect. The rate of WuFlu cases is being erroneously tagged to the consumption of these other needs. The reality is that what we're seeing, around the state of TX are lots of infections and a super low percentage of hospitalizations because of them. I get that from what you read or watched that you might be concerned for us. But, you've been lied to.

So, here's a question. Why did your governor allow the flight of so many New Yorkers out of the state when your infection rates were so high? It is very likely that it was citizens from your state that spread the virus around the country. And now you folks think you need to be protected from the rest of the country? Laughable.

Why did your governor let in people from NY while the infection was so high instead of protecting it from infected New Yorkers?

Um.... well... what can you say to this other than, you certainly put a lot of stock into believing what you've seen or read in your media. Texas is out of ICU beds. If the infection rate continues to climb unabated then Texas risks running out of any hospital beds. If people of Texas cooperates that won't happen. Here's hoping.

He didn't. We set up check points at the border and refused to allow them in until the self quarantined for 14 days.... But not all states did that. And the infections spread throughout those states.

So your previous contention that New York was at fault for the infections in Texas is wrong? BTW, yes, New York was the gateway from Europe but pointing blame on them is misdirected. They can't close international Airports to flights from say, Europe. Hmmm, I wonder who could have?

Hmm.. I personally know leadership in two of the major hospital providers in the state. They, to a person are incensed by the misreporting that is happening about the situation in TX. And to a person, they have all stated that what is being reported is wrong, and not representative of what is going on here in the state, and in their hospitals. TX isn't out of ICU beds, and frankly who cares? These hospitals set aside specific wings in hospitals for WuFlu cases and aren't reliant on ICU beds to handle the feared influx of cases, which frankly aren't happening. You're simply wrong here Blue. What you've been told is actually a lie.

Now here's a question. If infections are happening, and nobody needs to be hospitalized because of it, shouldn't you be happy about that? And if you aren't why?

How so? Folks from the states that were infected eventually got here, or folks from TX who travelled outside of the state were infected in those locations. The source of the infections is still NY. This isn't hard, why do you seem to not be able to wrap your head around it?

NY is one of the gateways to Europe, not the gateway. Chicago, DFW, Atlanta, even Denver

Okay, I see you now. Your'e here to criticize America. And the pandemic is your vehicle. So you crash it into us in some maniacal glee. If in your country, they are like you. Then it doesn't matter how well you handle a virus or anything else. You have serious issues regardless. I suggest you attend to that.

Does this post mean you ignored the fact there was no spike in New York?

One of the assertions of the Right is that the lockdown was to assist the hospitals, so they don't become overwhelmed. Now, its happening again - the hospitals in many cities are becoming overwhelmed. But there don't appear to be the concerns for overwhelmed hospitals anymore. I wonder why that is...

And what the data actually shows, as of just this minute is that there is quite a lot of actual capacity, and most of the usage of these hospitals is, as I characterized it, by other factors, not WuFlu. Sorry to burst your joy at the misery of others you profess you care about. Laughable.

Trauma service area R - one ICU bed available!
Texas has only just started receiving patients needing hospital support and most patients are in hospital for 4 weeks or so. That one ICU will go in 3,2,1, puff.

Hmm... that sounds super hysterical for sure... 3 2 1... and all. Of course the fact that like every hospital in the state has set asides in their inventory for WuFlu, it just doesn't sound that bad. But if you're worried, don't come here. We'll be fine without you.

True. And it was China until Trump took the action to take action in the absence of governors who were ignoring the threat. Gosh, Newsome... Cuomo... Inslee.... There's like a list you know...

He won't even show his face at his own building in New York since they've painted a nice reminder for him on Fifth Avenue.

So hey, maybe Jennifer Rubin is right(a broken clock is right twice a day) and all of those age-old Republicans will die out and Democrats will win in a landslide.(The irony though is we'll be electing a 77 year old political puppet, an utterly uninspiring political puppet who will probably step down within 2 years of his "term"). Our choices baby, our choices.
