    I've answered your questions several times. It's not my fault that you don't like the answers because they don't fit your agenda.

    Let me help you out. Paul has stated that he'll close all foreign US bases. What he doesn't say is what happens to the US Navy, the world's most powerful and advanced blue water navy. The answer is it will have to withdraw to the CONUS since it will not have necessary port support facilities.

    Further proof that Paul is the very definition of an isolationist.

    You are not answering my question...you are answering your own.
    My question requires ONLY a 'yes' or a 'no' or an 'undecided'. No other answer is applicable (for what should be obvious reason, imo).

    It is obvious to me that the only reason you refuse to answer my question is because the obvious answer is 'yes', that that part of the world+the UN (minus America) could EASILY handle Iran blocking up the Strait - but to admit that would probably throw your whole point out the window.
    Since why should America spend money it does not have and risk American blood to fix a problem that affects her far less then those in the region who could handle the problem themselves.
    Maybe you enjoy seeing American's die in the middle of nowhere for causes that do little for America (good intentions aside).
    I do not.

    I hope they mothball at least 1/2 of the carriers.

    The Navy was built for the Cold War - which is long over. There is simply no need for such a powerful navy unless you want to police the world. I do NOT want America to do that. Let the world police itself and America can help when they cannot do it themselves.

    Plus, America is broke and getting 'broker' FAST. She simply cannot afford such a gigantic military.
    Especially when the greatest threat is 'terror'.


    And no offense, but your sincere response - whatever it is - to this statement WILL be wrong in terms of what is best for America.

    It's obvious that you are afraid to answer as you spend FAR MORE time giving excuses why you won't answer then simply to type on of three words.

    First of all the only reason Iran is threatening to do this is because the USA is threatening to blockade Iran, if Ron Paul was calling the shots this would not happen and hence Iran would not blockade the Hormuz straits.

    Even if Iran does this it is a regional problem, not something the US should get involved in, I am sure the other oil producing arab countries would declare war on Iran in such a scenario and deal with the issue that way.
    Alternatively they could send the oil via pipelines to the red sea and load it there but I am sure they havent made provisions for that since they are counting on big brother USA to keep it open.

    When has the US threatened to blockade Iran?

    In other words you have no problem with Iran violating the international right to free passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

    As he did. Authorize the use of force to go after those responsible. This doesn't include nation building and implamentation of a corrupt government.

    And why are they blocking traffic at the straight?
