This "former LEO" understands that what was done violated the Constitution on every level. People had no way to call 911, or to in any other way get help because the infrastructure was smashed.... so let's take away their only means of self-defense? Complete and utter bovine excrement. In other words: "Whatever you do, ignore the first-person accounts in favor of reports dashed out by government officials trying to cover their own backsides." Sure. Makes sense (Insert sarcastic eyeroll here).
Do have any understanding of what this is about? If you want to keep your guns when you're told evacuate an area due to a major hurricane, evacuate.

My opinion does not change the opinions of gun grabbers. Giving into them empowers them more than any words ever will. You are willing to legislate away our rights instead of following the Constitution. So long as there are people like me, that won't happen...
One hundred percent true, giving the anti's and millimeter only emboldens them to press for more, as Pete Shields stated, if he can't get half a loaf he will settle for a slice, after which he will push for another and another, until he has the entire loaf leaving the law abiding firearm owners with nothing. For that reason alone my philosophy is, don't give an inch and take back all we can at every turn, if they want to ban X, then totally block it and fight to get another firearm regulation repealed or overturned. And expose their fraud and deceit as much as possible and as many times as possible, shame them, hunt them and their supporters down and protest in front of their homes and business, harass their children and boycott their sponsors.
