Look at how the right wing press and commentators crucified his peaceful protest against injustice...
Even Trump took a few cheap shots at him....
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag,” Trump said, “to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’ ” The crowd of supporters erupted in cheers. The president appeared to be referring to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who last year began kneeling during the national anthem to draw attention to unjustified killings of black men by law enforcement."

I agree that Pete Carrol and many white people in his profession have gotten very rich off African-Americans....in particular in the College Level that made Pete a house hold name.

Then maybe it's high time "many white people".....started speaking up for them the way Pete is trying to do.

MLK survived long enough to succeed because of armed security wherever he travelled.
He was not a soft target. It took a sniper to silence him.

Sure the ones that have gotten rich using them as slaves. I completely disagree with how the College and Universities make tons of players

If it was available under Obama why did they not avail themselves if it?

Why should Kaepernick be above criticism? You said he was "literally destroyed".
Kaepernick was not destroyed by his critics - he thrives on their criticism.

MLK supported the right to self defense. He did not support the use of aggressive violence.

Thank you. This is so true. The USA was founded on a system of White Supremacy and slavery. It can't be fixed until we go back and study and correct the wrongs from the very beginning.

It wasn't just criticism though was it...
"In the summer of 2017, there were reports that the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants were interested in Kaepernick but backed off after hearing from some fans. The quarterback maintained all along that he wanted to play, and on Oct. 15, 2017, he filed a grievance against the NFL, accusing its 32 teams of colluding to keep him out of the league."
There's too much negative stuff he went through for you to make light of it. I'm sure you don't need me to repeat for you.
If you don't like my word choice of "literally destroyed"...then pick your own.
But pretending he didn't suffer any loses for peacefully making his concerns known is not reasonable.

It wasn't what he protested which was mostly nonsense, but the milieu and method. It did keep his gig as an NFL starter going for a couple of more games.

Instead of saying that Kaepernick has been "literally destroyed" say he has been enriched.
That is what has really happened to Colin Kaepernick.

Cool...he got a couple more games when he could have had a career.
And yet what you're referring to as "mostly nonsense" continues to happen.
If people on the right refuse to listen to the protestors and continue to punish those who speak out,
what do you expect them to do?
Didn't you folks on the right accuse the left of not listening to your problems?
Isn't that why some of you claimed you voted for tRUMP?

Democrat policies = black ghettos = higher crime rates (people gotta eat) = more police violence against blacks

America doesn't have a RACE problem. it has a DEMOCRAT problem. The average American doesn't give 2 craps about what color a person is

You say...."Trump established circumstances" under which people of all races creeds and colors could succeed.
You still haven't provided any credible info that tRump established anything positive for anybody except himself and FOX.

Have to agree....the outline was simply in the Constitution (as amended) and through basic economic concepts. By cutting taxes, reducing overburden regulations, he was able to create record low unemployment for everyone in this country....man, woman, black, white, hispanic...but the concepts were there already

That doesn't make what was done to him okay. It was wrong to treat him that way for a silent protest.
If they had listened to him, and others who wished to join him, and done something useful
maybe these riots would no be taking place.

There is no proof those things you are crediting tRUMP with did anything but make the rich richer
and stop any progress that was being made through regulation.
All he's accomplished so far is pushing this nation back 20 years or more...
and you want to give him even more time. Your boy "W" left a mess behind him
and your new boy gonna leave a bigger mess.

Reduced taxes on corporations greatest impact was on mom and pops the megas mostly don't pay taxes anyway. Reduced regulatory over burden, again mostly affecting small businesses who can't afford whole staffs if compliance folk to make sure all the i's are dotted and it's are crossed on multitudinous forms from one of more of our 46 different federal departments that increased the number of jobs creating upward pressure on waves especially at the lower end of the wage scale

So, as an American (I assume), you think that is a realistic attitude to have? If you don't like the country of your birth, you should just leave? You shouldn't work to make it better?

    First lady's ex-best friend
....."Melania didn’t want to move to the White House right away in part because she didn’t want to have to use the same shower and toilet as former first lady Michelle Obama and was waiting for the bathroom to be renovated."

Yea, right...."The more things change....the more they stay the same".
