I heard, yesterday, that both the mayor and now the governor of NY are inserting themselves into this arrest. Sure, have at it. Have DOJ assign some obstruction of Justice charges for good measure to remind these "public servants" of their obligations both to their citizens and the nation.

 

To put a finer point on it, the guy who said, after an altercation years ago that he would self deport, but of course didn't and had a federal warrant because of his disobedience of the original agreement to self deport? That guy?

They would cheerfully approve of the government forcing people to pay money out of every one of their paychecks to support Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc., whether the workers ever get any benefit from these programs or not.

US v Wong kim ark settled this issue in 1898. Anyone born on US soil is a US citizen, regardless of parents legal status.

There is no such thing as natural law. Here in the US, we are under constitutional law, which has it's basis in English common law.

I need ID to enter my office every day. I need ID to prove my kids are my kids when I register them at school. I need ID to withdraw money from a bank. I need ID to to buy a fracking TV at BestBuy, since they wanted to check it against the CC. But Illegals don't need any silly IDs.

Employers are required to verify employment eligibility, as well as follow proceduresto pay those employees legally. If the employer was intentionally circumventing those responsibilities, they should be fined.

 

If the government did their job, and followed 4-4 of the constitution, there would be no illegal aliens here to hire. If you find them here illegally, hang them. The problem would be solved overnight. Most countries, including mexico have draconian laws like that for illegal aliens. Understand their laws and how they are applied. We need to toughen up our laws. You simply make it public that if you are caught here after 150 days on American soil, and you are not here legally and over 18, you will be hanged. We will not need a border wall.
