The rule is unconstitutional. And the NFL will lose in court if the players push it. If they are left the option to stay in the locker room, that's reasonable. But you can't force employees to show patriotism.

And I know, if I exercised my rights, people like you would get violent. I have no doubt of that. It only shows that you aren't patriotic at all. It is fake patriotism. It is patriotism for dummies. It is what you do when you don't have a clue what any of it really means.

As far as the NFL goes at least, they clearly can. Sure the owners can respectively "fire" all the players who do kneel but depending on which ones or how many of them get fired, that would be extremely counterproductive and hurt your brand even more.

Well lets put on our big boy thinking caps... Our resident, umm, race baiter, was equating peaceful protest to vandalism. Vandalizing public signage should be insulting to everyone.

If they think it is, then let them pursue it and find out the hard way.

You didn't have a right to that job. When you were offered that job, you agreed to adhere to NFL policy. If their rules state you will stand during the pledge, then you have a choice. Stand or disobey, and break your contract and refuse.

    1A has 0 bearing here.

You can't force employees to be patriotic. End of story. It is an unconstitutional policy.

Very possible. They'd have to weigh out the viewership and ratings and choose I guess. Seems like they're trying to walk the line here and not choose.

You certainly can. No one forced any of the players to sign their contracts. if it's in the rules you agreed to, then stand or get lost, fined, fired, etc.

Of course you can, silly. Your employer can then let you go. Same with the NFL. There's just one insty bitsy tiny problem with your, ahem, logic. Burger flippers are a dime a dozen. World class football players? Yeah, not so easy to replace.

He is protesting against the flag. Oppression of blacks is his justification. AND his justifications are BS. The police shoot more whites than blacks. Blacks are more likely to be shot by a black officer than they are a white officer. Blacks are simply more likely to be involved in crime and therefore more likely to encounter the police.

No it doesn't, Einstein. Little hint: the people doing the protesting get to say what it is they are protesting. LOL!

An employer can't force anyone to show patriotism, but they can force their employees to show respect for their customers. Would you shop at a place where the employees openly don't respect you?

GDAMN I Fing HATE authoritarians. Don't like it? Don't fing watch. Nobody is forcing you. And if you happen to be one of those self proclaimed life long fans tuning out because of this issue then you're a fool. But whatever you do, just stop your damn whining about what another man is doing during the NA. It's not affecting YOU at all.

If people will watch college games then they'll watch teams made up of college all stars, which is what the NFL will offer when the players get fired.

If you actually had your big boy thinking cap on you would know the question is before the person you are defending on whether or not he would defend steve if that happened.

And no one cares what you think of Steve so put away the super hero tights. You can't run interference for your buddy.

Authoritarians? No one is forcing the anyone to buy health insurance, or banning straws, or forcing corporations to have a certain amount of women directors on the board, or any number of other things libs demand of people.
