A thread to discuss HOW AMERICA WON THE WAR.

This sense is better determined by others. One can definetely scream around about his giant sense of humour, but the rest of the world might not feel amused by it. I think that you have sense of humour. Although your posting is very often regarded as serious. As for myself I am a sad clown.

 

The very first war which Americans won, was keeping the first Pilgrims alive by feigning friendship with Native Americans long enough to gain time to build up an army of His Majesty Redcoats to help enforce the relocation of those Native Americans as per Manifest Destiny law.

 

Okay, well, on to the next war. Which one does the German OP think is the best example of how America won?

 

There are any number of wars of conquest that America won. The various Indian wars. The Spanish-American war when they jacked up an excuse to start it. The Mexican war which produced one of the biggest land grabs in history.

The Bay of Pigs...oops...scratch that...no crackling ensued.

 

And that other bay in the Gulf of Tonkin.

 

All this talk about which wars America won and all the slight barbs and remarks made at the expense of the U.S.....never seems to have such talk directed at if there exists any other Nations Military on the face of the planet Earth that is capable of defeating or at the very least containing the U.S. Military.

That is because no such nations Military exists that can do this.

Sure....Russia could launch Nukes but such an act is suicide.

As far as China? Well China has about the same amount of Nukes as exists in ONE U.S. Navy Carrier Battle Group.

As well China does not have any capability of Military Force Projection.

Russia long ago allowed their conventional forces to degrade well below having any capability whatsoever of handling a U.S. Conventional Attack....but then again the U.S. has no reason to attack Russia unless Russia were so stupid as to do something that would force our hand.

So....some of you can keep on making remarks but when it comes right down to it...you all KNOW who has a Military that is capable on a level never before seen in the History of Mankind.

Ah yes, Another fiction to start a war that killed 60,000 Americans and produced nothing but a united Vietnam. Apparently the Yanks also assassinated the South Vietnamese president pour encourager les autres.

 

One of the main factors leading to the fall of Nazi Germany was the total inability of German Engineers and War Planners to understand the need NOT TO OVER DESIGN TANK AND MECHANIZED WEAPONS PARTS.

The life span of an American Sherman Tank could be anywhere as long as only a few days to a few weeks.

Because the Pentagon understood that in order to win the war it was necessary to out produce enemy nations Sherman Tanks were designed with transmission gearing that had a lifetime of only a few months at which if the tank survived such gearing would have to be replaced.

The German's on the other hand did not understand such a concept and built Tiger and Panzer Tank Transmission Gears to last several Human Lifetimes.

The problem with this was in the time 50 Sherman Tanks were built only 1 Tiger or 2 Panzer's were built....as well even though a Tiger or Panzer was a much better tank than a Sherman it mattered not as shear NUMBERS of American Tanks as well as the T-38 Soviet Tank the first tank to include SLOPED ARMOR could easily overwhelm Nazi forces.

So many Sherman's were made that the United States supplied many countries including the Soviet Union with U.S. made Sherman Tanks.

Oh you just have to go see for yourself AA. They use some archive source from former USSR to construct an entirely different alternate reality of WW2 than most Western European and American historians accounts. They even discount veterans of WW2 eyewitness accounts. They say the Tiger tank's both I and II were the worst vehicles produced, and they had dismal kill ratios. They say the 5:1 avg kill ratio is all a myth and Tigers got knocked out easily. Its a joke over there, you just have see for yourself. I cannot explain the alternative universe, you just have to experience for yourself.

I was on it the other day and they had a chart showing Russia as the #3 Economy in the world with a GDP or $6 Trillion.

In reality Russia is #8. at about $2 Trillion.

It is NEVER a good idea to purposely go out of your way to insult or attempt to antagonize a person on a Political Forum on the Internet when you have absolutely no idea who and what such a person is.

You don't have to worry about me as I am basically a nice guy....but I know of people like me...who do the same kind of JOBS I do....who occasionally roam such forums.

Because of what these people do and have done and see some have become VERY unstable and very well might consider a person's B.S. such as yours...to be perhaps something they will not tolerate.

The people I happen to know who are like this are highly trained and capable in the extreme and what to you might be considered as a simple verbal barb...well to them...well...you could go to sleep one night then wake up the next day after been drugged and find yourself strapped naked to a tilt board with a former Special Operations Member working on you.

Tigers were very easy to knock out once you learned the tricks. The KV1 could stand toe to toe at 500 meters and have at least a 50% chance of the kill. For every Tiger 1 and II The Russians were producing 3 KV1s. The Soviets used pretty much the same tactic the Americans did when the Shermans came up against Tigers. In this instance they could set 14 T 34s to every Tiger built. Even the SU-76 in the right circumstances could mess with the Tigers very nicely.

Even the 5:1 ratio although not a myth, does rely on massaging context. If the figure are reduced to post Battle of Moscow, the number reduces to 2:1 which for an attacking army is exceptional

I am not kidding.

I posted this before but I will do so again.

There is a person I know who recently lost his brother because of a JOB.

This person was beyond close to his brother and he really fell apart because of his brothers death.

He started getting mean and I and others could tell he was no longer able to mentally handle doing this...JOB.

He was inactivated and as I understand very well....after about 8 moths he was climbing the walls as he did not know what to do with himself.

He tried to talk his way back to being activated but the Medical Staff made it clear he was a NO GO.

He came up to me a while back as he knew I am not Military and I pick my own Team Members unlike the way other Team's are put together by Military Brass.

He asked me to allow him to join my Team and I told him straight out...even if the Medical Staff reactivated him and gave him a clearance to work...there was NO WAY....I would allow him to join my Team even though I respected the HELL out of him and his brother for being consummate professionals....as I told him he needed more time to grieve....and I could not in good conscience allow a person who I believed was NOT ready to do such JOBS to be a member of my Team as to do so would place my Team Members lives at risk.

Now I have known this person for a while but after I told him that I saw for a moment in his eyes that he intended to attack me.

It was not like he even consciously knew he was going to attack me but I saw it and he saw that I SAW what was going on for a split second in his mind and he got VERY embarrassed.

Now this guy is well trained in the extreme on a level most people could never dream of or even understand.

He is basically like me but whatever he once had that gave him a moral compass and allowed him to TURN IT OFF...well that is SHORT CIRCUITING....and this person who I respect I now FEAR will accidentally hurt someone.

THIS PERSON SPENDS SOME OF HIS SPARE TIME ON POLITICAL FORUMS ON THE INTERNET.

And there are a few others like him.

If he could almost lose it talking face to face with ME...a person who has known him and been a friend for YEARS...how do you think he might react when a member of a Political Forum makes it their goal to irritate a man like this?

A Man who is trained and capable on a level that most could not believe....until they found themselves strapped down naked to a tilt table.

He is not seeking to debate or post in an Honorable and Honest manner as anything he posts or creates as a Topic is by DESIGN a method to agitate any member who might have any Patriotic Feelings as far as the United States.

I do not mind debating another member who does not like the U.S. or it's people....but I find it a waste of time to attempt to have an honest debate with this particular member as ANYTHING you might post that is positive in nature specific to the U.S. and it's people this member will simply refute without posting proof by way of a LINK to a SOURCE....as this member has made it their job to bad mouth the U.S. and it's Citizens in any possible way they can.

Well, thanks for the information, but I was only stirring the pot. The things you indicate about the OP is a a very German trait so sometimes it is fun to taunt back. I do it with Markus too who apparently thinks things like the US does not have supercav torpedoes just because the DoD doesn't hold a press conference every time the US comes up with a new and/or improved weapon.

 

Because of what I do...I can tell you with 100% Certainty that whatever a person THINKS might be a secret program being developed by various U.S. Military and Civilian R&D Divisions....well...Multiply that by 100 and a person STILL would fall short.
