ACLU Forces School to Ban Father-Daughter and Mother-Son Events

I dont know about the woman who complained but the ACLU said

??? No, it was a question you didnt answer, and yet felt compelled to respond to. I presume you are not in Rhode Island, you didnt read something printed on paper but you instead, saw somewhere reported in the media that this mother would have been prohibited from filling in for an absent father. A link to that material would be helpful at this point.

 

Here's how it works. Not that I have to tell you, because you already know.

It's a father-daughter dance. That means fathers, as in males.

And let's be honest, if the mother did fill in for the father you lot would still complain about it. You can't stand disobedience against gender roles.

It's still a law and the law has to be followed. If you're a Rhode Island resident and you don't like it, vote in state reps that will get it repealed.

The thing is, if you want to know where this country is heading read the goals of the Communist party written during the 1930's, which can be founded on any Communist website.

That being said ya this seems ridiculous but it’s an easy fix let any parent dance with any kid of theirs and the status quo will be restored this kid and mom will still have to get over their daddy issues

The woman is the reason the dances were banned.

She complained so she is to blame.

Supt. Judith Lundsten said the move was triggered by a letter ifrom the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of a single mom who had complained that her daughter had not been able to attend her father-daughter dance.

And then the school decided what to do from there. Blaming the mother just because she complained is dishonest. The school didn't have to make the choice they made.

If girls like baseball and boys like dancing , why the hell NOT let them do it?

That's definitely simple, but it's no solution.

 

It's simpler than him protesting his dad having him play baseball due to the "evil global conspiracy of heterosexual normal conditioning", that's for sure.

 

Another win for PC and watering down everything imaginable. I think people who want to remove anything that can pose any sort of insult no matter how minor, have a mental disorder. Why even have the dance at all since it really has no meaning at this point. Just call it a "guardian and child get together" since you shouldn't call it dance since not all the kids might want to dance with the adult supervisor thats with them. Lets start banning ALL holidays too and love and friendship since there are kids out there that lack those too. Ban everything that someone else doesn't have, because its fair.

It's the same thing we do if we don't make the varsity football team. We don't whine and demand that high school football be shut down simply because not everyone can make the team.

There is nothing illegal about father/daughter dances; to think so is exemplary of the stupidity of liberals. Again.

 

That is a ridiculous stance. It is akin to blaming a gun for shooting someone instead of the person that pulled the trigger. Had the mother not made her ridiculous complaint, the dance would have continued.
