AG Sessions spoke with Russian officials

AG Sessions spoke twice with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign.

Once was in private with the Russian ambassador, in September.

Sessions DENIED any contact with Russian officials during his Senate hearings.

This may put more weight on Republicans to have strong investigations into communications between the Trump campaign and Russia, who are suspected of attempting to meddle in the USA's Presidential election.

As Sessions spokesperson pointed out, Sessions, in his capacity as a US Senator, and commitee member, regularly communicated with foreign officials. But, let's leave no stone un-turned. We've got 4 yrs to get to the bottom of it.

Sessions was asked if he had any MEETINGS with Russian officials.

According to CNN one of the contacts was at a Trump rally where they saw each other. Hardly a *meeting*.

And you don't think sitting senators have contacts with foreign officials? For Pete's sake, Session's was on the Armed Forces committee. Someone the Russian Ambassador probably had regularly contacted.

There's talk about using a law that would allow Congress to obtain trump's tax returns back to the 1990s and then they could track his entire financial life. If he is innocent of any wrongdoing, that would absolve him of all doubt and guilt. If he is innocent, he would willingly turn it all over to Congress without them having to rely on the law.

 

I will speak for me. Frankly I have no love affair with other countries. Not Russia nor Iran nor Syria. I don't see the gnashing of teeth over some of the people expected by Trump to feel out the Russians either. It happened once the Trump team won.

But we have no clue. Not an ounce of truth has come from the media and for good reason. Nobody knows what any of the Trump team said or heard.

It's all bull pucky. Democrats are angry that their messiah lost his exalted state. And I mean Obama not Hillary. She had been beaten to a pulp by Obama himself so she was no sweet princess. Hillary had people who she no doubt had chat with the Russians too. But the media refuses to mention those. She felt entitled to talk to the Russians in fact.She was the winner don't you know. But do you hear the Media churning over her people chatting it up with the Russians?

 

Congress can not issue a subpoena in order to go on a fishing expedition any more than law enforcement can. Trump would have such a subpoena quashed immediately.

If Congress has something *specific* they want to look at then they can issue a subpoena for that *specific* information but that would not require the IRS to release someone's entire tax return into the public domain.

 

As long as they do not lie to me about keeping the doctor I like they can carry on.

 

Get back to me when you know what they talked about. for all you know they were swapping recipes borscht for baked beans. How many thousands of phone calls did he make and receive during that time period? And if they called him then he didn't contact them they contacted him.

 

Perhaps he was just telling them how he could be more flexible after the election.
