Well, first off, Franken didn't ask about Sessions personal involvement. He asked how he would handle it as AG. Sessions has claimed he meant as part of his campaign activites, but that is not clear from his statement. It reads more like communications in general.

Nonsense everyone who voted for Trump was in essence a campaign surrogate.

Apparently not that curious or uncommon as McCaskil did the same thing. And Sessions wasn't by himself.
It wasn't the Republican convention it was an event at Heritage at which several ambassadors attended as well as Republicans from the Armed forces committee along with Heritage folks.

    What a ridiculous statement.
    No she didn't. Geeze.

It was in his office and he didn't have any members of the Armed Services Committee there, nor did he even tell any members of the Armed Services Committee about the meeting. Think on that.

The Heritage event was *at* the RNC convention. You really need to come up to speed on the facts here.

& There was no Armed Services Committee meeting at the Heritage event, taking place at the POLITICAL RALLY, nonetheless, chew on this bit too:

"We reached all 26 members of the 2016 Armed Services Committee to see who met with Russian envoy Kislyak in 2016. Sessions was the only one."

    And this:

    Last night on Tucker Carlson:

“I don’t recall any discussion of the campaign in any significant way."

That sure sounds like lawyerspeak for "yeah we discussed the election."

Franken should have asked specifically about dates, and specifically about any and all communications under any capacity.

    More hilarious deflection by Trump.

So much for Trump staying Presidential.

He is embarrassing himself on Twitter again.

Idiotic deflection like that may play with his sycophantic base.

But, all he is doing is further dividing the country.

And he'll say yes, he spoke as part of his responsibilities as a senator.
Then what will you have to sensationalize?
You'll have to think up a new outrage.

My commonsense tells me Obama “gave” Russia something big when they were pushing the reset with Russia. Something, they have been able to keep hidden with a Democrat in the WH.
Obama always gives way more than he gets when he negotiates with “not friendly” to America countries.
All this Russia crap is a smoke screen for something BIG that the Democrats are guilty of. Trump needs to get people on board that know how to “dig deep” into Hillary and Obama’s “reset.” The smearing of Jeff Sessions is merely a smoke screen to hide something the PSM Leftists have committed. You know 'Sedition' and 'Treason'.
